It is not flashy, cute etc. It is a small Paris restaurant on a side street 2 stops from Odeon. We went 3 times because the food was so good and it was fun to eat there. Fish or meat, it did not matter - all were done very well. I wanted a glass of wine. Do you have Sancerre?... More

After a day of sightseeing, on the second day of our mini-moon in Paris, we wanted to have some more traditional French cuisine thus we booked a dinner at Le Petit Pointoise. Location: Le Petit Pontoise is located just 5 minutes’ walk from Notre Dame Cathedral in the center of Paris on 9 rue de Pontoise. Atmosphere: We booked our... More

We made reservations on TheFork about a week before we left for Paris, but we arrived as the restaurant opened at 6:30, so we probably could have been seated easily without reservations. Parisians tend to eat much later than 6:30! We were greeted enthusiastically by the staff, and especially by Anna. She seemed very eager to make us happy! We... More

You just can't go wrong here. Everything is fresh and tasty and it feels like like a French movie set. For the starter course the fois gras is one of my favorites and my husband always orders the green beans with ecrevisse which are little crayfish. The menus are now offered in English as well as French which makes is... More

Great food, had the escargot, and he had the beet salad. Both were delicious. Party in your mouth. I had the pork cheeks, and he had the fish with vanilla sauce. My cheeks were good, soft, broth I think was on its way to be amazing, but just fell short. Flavourful, but was missing some depth. I was told it... More

We really enjoyed our meals here. Most of us had fish which were all very good . Nice portions paired with perfect sides. Good wine list friendly service. We will have this on our list when we come back to Paris.

This one of those places which were once normal for Paris/France.......nothing really special in any sense but good old homemade kitchen in a non-fancy atmosphere .Unfortunately even the prices are "normal" for Paris . Having a piece of oven-made chicken with a bit smashed potatoes for more than 20 € let you, if you should make that at home for 3... More

What can be said that hasnt been said before? Le Petit Pontoise is the restaurant you come across that you deserve on your holiday. Its severely relaxed and achingly French. We live in London by try to make it here at least 2 or 3 times a year just to wallow in its french perfection. I could go on and... More

The food was good but the service was really rushed and the different courses came too quickly (couple of minutes) after another although I specifically asked for some time in between as they were eager to sell my table to next guests. Many tourists and very few french people.
