Have eaten here many times over the last twenty-five years. The terrace is great for coffee and bread at breakfast or their 'Special' for lunch is always interesting, or a half dozen of the world's best oysters (the Especiales # 2 are great) with drinks...More

Incredible seafood & Oysters. Very professional service. I had a suit on and felt under-dressed. It has a mini-seafood market as part of the resturant that is outside so you can view the food selections before you sit down. Beautiful interior with wood finished walls...More

Lovely decor and friendly efficient staff. Menu is great. The truffle risotto was amazing as was the monkfish. Good wine list with some reasonably priced ones.

The title says it all. 10.50€ for a medium sized "average" beer. Tourist trap to avoid at all cost. Don't really understand how they can still be in business.

This is a first class restaurant in Paris. If you visit you have to enjoy fish. The staff are helpful and efficient. The food is really good. Well worth a visit.

Rude and unfriendly staff and it was super expensive for the quality of the food...which it wasn't really good either...

The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the
landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that
goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas,
brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and
parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away
from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and
historical monuments and treasures. In between lie
adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small

I know what you're talking about. I had the same experience when I asked the female bartender at Le Dome if they had a menu in English. She was very rude to me. This place does not like Americans. I also went across the street to the Lebar A Huitres and had a great meal. When I asked them if they had a menu in English they responded with "Why of course we do please come in right this way." They treated me great and I returned the next day as well and left big tips both days for the great service I received from them. I honestly think the best thing going for Lebar A Huitres is the very rude and lousy staff at Le Dome. I have read so many reviews where the staff at Le Dome so rudely treated potential customers that the customers left and went across the street. How can blame them?

Outdoors, on the terrace, you can dress up like Big Bird, and no one would notice. But in the evening, inside Le Dome for dinner or drinks, and at all other better cafes, there is a subtle, informal code that discourages... More
