This was our first visit to the Hotel Westminster, and chose this restaurant as it is only a short walk from Hotel Scribe where we were staying, and were delighted with our choice once we arrived. There is an old-fashioned elegance to Le Celadon, without being stuffy or scarily formal. The staff were all very accommodating, and the food was... More

We came for the prix fixe Sunday dinner menu at "Petit Celadan". It was good for the price but not great. Three course dinner with a bottle of wine for 65euros at a one star Michelin restaurant was the draw. Crab gyoza soup was very fishy. The fish taste overwhelmed any other seasoning or taste. My wife had a vegetable... More

We came for dinner. The place was reasonably full but far from crowded. Nothing was outstanding. This is an expensive place: a meal à la carte costs around 90 euros. Three shocking things: The main (meat, we had no fish) dishes, priced around 40 euros or more, are ridiculously small. The waiter forgot to serve us our white wine and... More

Met at the door with a friendly welcome. Had the 'le Petit Celadon menu - 65Eur for 3 courses, glass of Champagne and a bottle of wine between 2. Excellent value. Really nice ambience - classy without being pompous. They even did a 'well done' lamb for the missus - sacrilege but after a joke about her having to tell... More

The starter was cold fish with the tail intact, wasn't too pleasing to look at. Unfortunately it still had so I left it uneaten. The main was veal, two cuts. It was delicious. The amazing was the chocolate desert, three chocolate slices, praline ice cream and rich mousse. The check was approximately €110 per person a la carte. Overall the... More

We passed and found this French restaurant. The weekend menu for 65euros per person including wine is almost perfect and affordable. They have several dishes and the speciality of the day to choose, the chef really knows how to cook, believe me. The ambient is quiet and classic but comfortable. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

A Michelin star well deserved, this restaurant has great food and service. The encornet and St Jacques were very good entrees, the lapin and the ris de veau were each served in a very delicate way and full of flavors. We were advised to try a very good Aloxe-Corton burgundy. It was a very enjoyable diner experience.

Description
Le Cladon restaurant in Paris Hotel Westminster in the heart of the fashionable 2nd arrondissement is a haven of elegance and style. The Hotel was once the private residence of the Duke of Westminster, hence the name. Le Cladons dining room was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon in recreation of a Regency style drawing room with oriental touches in tones of pale green with luxurious fittings and artwork. Executive Chef Christophe Moisand has created a menu rich in tradition and infused with innovation, using the freshest of seasonal ingredients and a refined touch. Dishes may include Breton scallops flavoured with cazette, and strawberry-poched quinces. The wine list is harmoniously chosen and the service is excellent. Le Cladon becomes Le Petit Celadon at weekends.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
