We arrived right at 7pm when they opened because we didn't have reservations. The restaurant is very small, but had a great ambience. The crowd was half local and half American. The food was delicious, our table ordered a duck and potato dish, boeuff bourignon, and the salmon special. Definitely French comfort food. Great wine selection and reasonably priced. Great... More

I truly enjoyed our meal here--the 10 minute wait was more than worth it. Small, cozy place where it is easy to meet other people (locals and tourists). The service was excellent. The food exquisite! All was good, appetizers, main courses, desserts, the wine. I will make sure to go stop by next time that I am in Paris.

I was thrilled to see on the menu "7 hour lamb" and it was truly amazing. The restaurant offers traditional french cooking of high quality. With the lamb we had a great Cote Rotie from Paul Jaboulet

We had lunch here a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. But the most fun was getting to know the two ladies at the table next to us who were having their bi-annual get together having known each other for 40 years! We shared the bone marrow appetizer and the had the boudin noir aux pommes and veal... More

"7 hour lamb" was brought microwaved. Owner explained "how else can we keep it warm??". Wine was not chilled, when asked for ice the owner brought an empty bucket. 13 euros salad was an over-priced insult. Inexcusable. The only reason I'm not scoring the minimum is that we we're not required to pay for the main dishes, which we returned... More

Le Bistrot d'Henri is as classic as you can get on the Left Bank. The restaurant has about 8-9 tables and reservations are strongly encouraged. We were able to sneak into the last table without a reservation, but I'd advise calling a day or so ahead. The boeuf bourguignon was excellent. We found the service to be just right. The... More

Wonderful food, host and overall great experience. Not a big place so ensure you have reservations or get there early. A true Parisian gem.

My husband, son and I ate here twice during a nine day stay. Both times we had very satisfying meals in this cozy bistrot, and both nights the owner was there taking orders, phone calls, and helping to serve food. I think it may have become too popular, though, because everyone at the Sunday first seating spoke English. Just saying,... More

I usually have trouble eating in France - they don't particularly cater for vegetarians. So - although primarily for carnivores, i was able to enjoy a lovely mean - gorgeous Potatoes Dauphinoise and a delicious and satisfying roquefort salad. The atmosphere is great - regulars and tourists on the night we were there. Noisy, fun, squashed - what more do... More

Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
