On a busy street full of tourists where expectations are low, this restaurant took us by surprise. On the surface, it is a typical bistro, but once we were seated, we could see the entire staff's pride. A nice wine selection at fair prices. Although the menu was limited, there was something for everyone. The host was warm and welcoming.

A local introduced us to this Bistro. It was one of my favorite places and maybe the most spectacular food I have ever enjoyed. This is a very little bistro but from the walk to the restaurant, to the each dish served, it will be a true European experience. There were four of us and each tried a different dish.... More

We had a reservation and upon arrival had about a 10 minute wait. The owner gave us a few appetizers while waiting. Once we were seated the waiter was very courteous. Our food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. One of our best meals in Paris. We have recommended it to others visiting as it is somewhat hidden if... More

Matisse was from San Diego like me! He was so excited he gave me a free glass of champagne and a plate of saucisson :) The service here was super friendly and the cuisine was a foodie's delight. Believe me I've eaten at amazing restaurants worldwide. But Le Bistro d'Henri's is a total package of fun, quality and down-to-earth delight.... More

We were in Paris for 5 days, and the meal we had at Le Bistrot d'Henri was the best of all. It is a tiny place, and we arrived without a reservation, but there was a table available for us. My husband had an anchovy salad followed boeuf bourgignon, which he said was outstanding, and I had veal scallopine, which... More

We loved the friendly relaxed feel of the bistro and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Revisited on our last night in Paris and had a second helping of the beef bourguinon - delicious. The lamb was very good too as were the cheeses. Very intimate, warm and traditional.

The atmosphere here is very jolly and the host is charming. But the food is so-so. I couldn't wait to have magret de canard in France, the birthplace of this my favourite dish, and was disappointed. It came out too fast, meaning it wasn't freshly prepared, and the flavour was lacking, despite a heavy hand with the honey. (Honey? Why?)... More

Fantastic traditional French food. The beef bourguignon was to die for, as was the foie gras. Friendly service in a quaint little place. Not fancy, but a must visit for high quality traditional French food.

Fantastic dishes and well prepared. This is a clear five star restaurant if you only care about the food. The minus is for the toilet. I will come back.

I wanted to eat here based on recommendations from TripAdvisor. I booked the previous day for 8pm. We arrived at 8 and were seated at a table for 4 right near the door (they open the doors at night) this place is tiny and you are really up close and personal with other dinners, so if this is not your... Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
