Went on a Monday night with husband and 7 year old at almost 8pm. We were seated immediately at second to last table available. Restaurant is small and I suspect only has 12-15 tables, but their menu is vast and superb. We had the boeuf bourguignon and the veal scallopini and they rivaled same dishes at five star restaurants. Adorable... More

As two couples we were in Paris for four days for our first visit. We found this bistro on TripAdvisor after having a couple of evening meals in typical 'prix fixee' restaurants which were adequate but not special. This restaurant was far superior in all ways. The service was friendly and efficient, courses arriving close to each other and were... More

We spent only six nights in Paris, but ate at Le Bistrot d'Henri three times. Prices are reasonable and the food superb. We booked online, but I don't think Henri looks at his emails and had no record of our booking.Nevertheless we got a seat, and enjoyed three fabulous meals. My advice is to go early as it does get... I visited here recently with my cousin, we booked a table as I remember last time how busy the restaurant was. Again we were seated quickly and served drinks. Had a lovely bottle of white wine. We ordered escargot for starter which was really tasty. The mains were delicious and we both had really well cooked meat and lovely flavours.... More

We were walking around the streets and after looking at the menus of other places we stopped here and glad we did. Small place with red and white checkered table cloths. Not an extensive menu but enough to satisfy most if not all people. Escargot was great as well as the beef bourguignon. Some of the best creme brûlée we've... More

On a busy street full of tourists where expectations are low, this restaurant took us by surprise. On the surface, it is a typical bistro, but once we were seated, we could see the entire staff's pride. A nice wine selection at fair prices. Although the menu was limited, there was something for everyone. The host was warm and welcoming.

A local introduced us to this Bistro. It was one of my favorite places and maybe the most spectacular food I have ever enjoyed. This is a very little bistro but from the walk to the restaurant, to the each dish served, it will be a true European experience. There were four of us and each tried a different dish.... More

We had a reservation and upon arrival had about a 10 minute wait. The owner gave us a few appetizers while waiting. Once we were seated the waiter was very courteous. Our food was so delicious and very reasonably priced. One of our best meals in Paris. We have recommended it to others visiting as it is somewhat hidden if... More

Matisse was from San Diego like me! He was so excited he gave me a free glass of champagne and a plate of saucisson :) The service here was super friendly and the cuisine was a foodie's delight. Believe me I've eaten at amazing restaurants worldwide. But Le Bistro d'Henri's is a total package of fun, quality and down-to-earth delight.... More

We were in Paris for 5 days, and the meal we had at Le Bistrot d'Henri was the best of all. It is a tiny place, and we arrived without a reservation, but there was a table available for us. My husband had an anchovy salad followed boeuf bourgignon, which he said was outstanding, and I had veal scallopine, which... More

Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
