The complete menu is a real bargain: 41 € for complete menu including good quality wines. The only minus is the staff that is too busy to serve clients properly in English. This, however, is outweighed by the excellent quality of the food. The dinner was a pleasant surprise as a whole.

We booked a table for 6 for dinner. My girlfriend and I arrived about 20 min earlier but our table was already ready. When we arrived, the man at the door was extremely rude. He hardly looked at us, did ot even bother to walk us to our table, and just pointed out where we would be seating. We sat... More

One of our favourite restaurants in Paris. We spend a lot of time in Paris and every time we go, we always have dinner at this restaurant. Amazing essential food, great service and nice dining area. If you dare to, try the snails, they are actually quite amazing.

We visited this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and looked nice. We were the first there and were well looked after by the staff. The food was good, not great, and good value. Not a restaurant to go out of your way for, but worth trying if you are in the area.

Arrived at 7.00 pm and got a table without a reservation. We were lucky as the restaurant filled up within the hour. Lots of locals - which is a good sign. Good atmosphere. Service rather slow but food was lovely - steak and duck cooked to perfection. Overall a really nice meal.

Luckily my friends had made a reservation otherwise I would have been turned away. While waiting for them, I was able to see that the service was performed by neophytes (students from a restaurant school?). It was extremely slow, incompetent - several full plates & then empty plates & glasses crashed to the floor! Too much noise with plate clean-up... More

We were pointed in this direction by one of our tour guides and we are so glad that we were. There was a special New Year Eve prix fixe menu that was exquisite. My daughter named it the best meal she had ever eaten. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the service superb and helpful (our French is limited). We... More

Classic Bistro (red carpet chair) near the theater. In summer it is open like a terrace. A little expensive

During our stay in Paris our hotel recommended this restaurant as a good place to dine, and the reviews seemed good. One evening before we were about to hit the Moulin Rouge for a 9pm show, we decided to pop in. We weren't hungry enough for several courses at this stage so just wanted to order some cheese and wine,... More

Made a reservation for a Friday evening as part of a romantic weekend in Paris. Booked mainly because of the proximity to the hotel and some other reviews and was not disappointed! Bistro deux theatres offered a fairly rare commodity in Paris, that of real value for money! We didn't actually look at the prices before we booked, just really... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
