The food is great and way less teroir than it seems at first. The service team is amongst the best, very friendly and relaxed. The wine list is so large and the sommerlier is really helpful... Just totally worth it.

I like the restaurant in general, very nice service and friendly staff, we didnt order the tasting menu but went for the menu, one main course was not available and the choice was quite limited, the food wasnt disappointing however, it wasnt impressing for its standard, I wouldnt recommend it for the value.

Great ambiance. Really cool but unfortunately the food and service were a let down. The food was u set seasoned and the truffle icecream that was delivered before our desert was one of the worst bites I've ever put in my mouth. Very disappointing for a Michelin star restaurant!! Also our server was snooty and rude. The sommelier poured sediment... More

I've been to La Truffiere several times in years past taking business associates there, so my expectations were 'set' accordingly. This time i was there with my daughter and friend and her daughter. Were a party of four, and they make you order from a fixed price menu. Either everyone at the table has to get Truffles in their meal,... More

We visited La Truffiere for lunch and it was our best Paris meal. Service was quick and professional. The food was so delicious and well presented! I was regretted not choosing the cheese course after looking at the cheese tray when we left. Price was reasonable for the food quality you get. Definitely recommended.

This great restaurant with a French cuisine. Service here is top-notch.During lunch time there is a special offer menu with a very reasonable price as for such category of restaurants.

I went to this restaurant for dinner and chose 5-course truffle menu. There is 7-course menu as well but I was glad I chose 5 courses because after the bread, which was nice, and appetizer I was struggle a bit with dessert, though very nice. The highlights of course was how Chef can incorporate truffle into all dishes including cheese,... More

Have been visiting this restaurant for nearly twenty years and it keeps getting better and better. We had a fabulous time. We gave it our highest rating, and yes if you do not order from the set menu it is quite expensive. We ordered a la carte and it was worth every penny. The wine list is like an encyclopedia,... Went to this place for dinner over Easter. The service is very good. Sat in the basement and it became quite stuffy after a while. The food is of high quality and the prices support so. The tasting menus are a good way to try out the truffle menu but it takes too long to serve. I noticed most other... More

My second visit to la Truffière for a friend's birthday. This restaurant stands out in the lively student, expat and tourist neighbourhood of Moufetard street. A lot of the menu items have a Truffle add on option and there is a full Truffle menu, including desert. Service is formal, the Kitchen you can see from the street and seem mostly... More

"The kitchen is a place which gets together women and men, wine-growers, market gardeners, fishermen, farmers, all passionate about their trade and customers looking for authenticity. It is our constant challenge to dress, accommodate, cook, and present a coherent "cuisine" inspired by various experiences and meetings. This is how our team invite you to share this moment with honesty and a warm welcome." Christophe Poard, chef de cuisine

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
