This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge of the hotel we were staying in. We weren't disappointed we wanted a nice restaurant but not fine dining...this fitted the bill nicely. The staff were friendly the surroundings pleasant with modern decor and its in a good location. The food was good, all four of us had different seafood dishes... More

We were in Paris during the month of June. After reading reviews at differet sites including Michelin we decided to spend our evening in Odeon area and have dinner at this restaurant. It was arround 8 pm and evening shadows were long, the late sunlight was fading away. According to some reviews we chose to sit in the verranda and... More

We went to the restaurant with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. Restaurant is quite small but very cozy! The waiters are very nice and helpfull. But, of course, the main thing is the amazing food! Quality of the seafood is really impressive. I advice everyone to try tuna tar tar and oysters as well! You will never regret.

In a party of 8, only 3 were happy with their meal, which is not a good ratio. One lady with Daurade ate almost none of it, yet nobody came by to ask if it was Ok and the waiter just cleared the plate at the end, without comment. My carre d'agneau was ordered pink, came very well done, and... More

My family and I, while on vacation stumbled upon La Mediterranee, quite by accident. Food was exceptional, service excellent except for one male waiter who was snooty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, and would only suggest that management instruct their wait staff to treat all diners as beloved guests. You never know who might walk in your... More

For the last of 3 nights in Paris we decided to step up from the Brasserie/Bistro level of dining. Though very elegant and a purveyor of cuisine, not just food, we found La Mediteranee to be friendly and reasonably priced. Two beautifully presented plats, a shared appetizer and one dessert., with a delightful bottle of entre-du-mer came to just 130... More

Worth it, gourmet cuisine, nice decor, good service in a beautiful area, deserts are NOT the priority, have a starter instead.

We had a lovely dinner at La Mediterranee - great service, serene decor, and the food was incredible. We had my favorite dessert of the trip here, which was a cheese cake with wild strawberries and a spice cookie. The portions were perfect and the radishes with salted butter were a nice start.

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
