Comfortable neighborhood venue. Nice terraced dining room. Busy but enough space. Not noisy. Good for talking. Service sufficient but cooking better. Great sole meunière. Good wines at regular prices.

This definitely cooking turned to the sea as indicated by its name. Very good preparation and flavors, quite expensive with friendly people serving but a bit slow .... don't go there if you are in a rush! If you want to enjoy diner in a nice classic decor asked/book a table in the part which is facing the theatre ...... More

This is an upscale restaurant opposite one of Paris' legitimate theatres. Both the food and the atmosphere are enjoyable. The bouillabaisse beats Marseilles, the cod and chorizo (do not expect slices of sausage, there are tasty bits in the gravy) goes down very well. We had an enjoyable meal in a refined atmosphere.

My friends and I had a terrific dining experience here. The wine list is not very extensive but well curated and priced. I had the sole and thought it comparable if not better than the best NYC restaurants. The service was fine and the ambience was lovely. I will definitely return here on my next visit to Parishes

The food was delightful and fresh. If in Paris I would recommend all seafood lovers to try the La Mediterranee restaurant.

This restaurant is directly across from the Odeon theater, and has a very nice view of the plaza. The staff was friendly and the service well-paced. We both enjoyed our meals. My wife had a salmon dish that she loved, and I had the duck, which was very good, as well. We liked this place, and would go back. Many... More

The lunch menu is the best in the area. The service was a bit slow but very friendly and everyone spoke english. The oysters Fine de Claire are to die for! Try the dessert! Its simply magnificent

This restaurant with its Jean Couteau inspired interior (lovely summer sky-like blue figured walls), its red velvet banquettes, discreet seating areas and romantic lighting has been a long time left bank favorite. It is open on Sundays and the clientele of older French men in their classic cut midnight blue suits, along with their elegant wives and the occasional large... More

Popular neighborhood place near the Odeon. Plenty of seafood choices in a cozy atmosphere. We had the Seafood Marmite and the Bouilabaisse, both were very tasty...chock full of shellfish. Prices aren't terrible considering this is Paris, service a little snobby.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
