Cosy setting and comfort food made our final evening in Paris a memorable one. Reasonable carafe wines. Finish off with their Ile flottante. And don't forget to reserve.

Great French menu. Must have the gratin dauphinois with anything. Crime brûlée yummy. Beautiful dining and table setting. Warm months they have outside seating. Near the Eiffel Tower are so walking after you can see it lite up at night. Special comments for the service too. They are so wonderful

After a long day of sightseeing we were so glad to have chosen La Fontaine de Mars. The service was wonderful, the food marvelous and the wine that was recommended perfect. After reading some reviews I was prepared to pay a huge big bill. I thought it was spot on. This isn't a bakery or a pizza joint but a... More

I have been to this restaurant 4 times now and I like it more every time. Alain Ducasse has said that you can judge a classic French restaurant on their euf mayonnaise and damn was he right. I have eaten egg with mayo all my life but this place does it like no other. The first time I visited i... More

We always pay a visit to this quintessential French restaurant. It is always crowded, so make sure you call in advance. The food is traditional French, no salads or vegetarian dishes here.....everything is hearty and delicious. 2 can share the cassoulet, it is EXCELLENT! Service is always professional and friendly. Fabrice, the manager at the front of the house is... More

We (three persons) had a business dinner at "La Fontaine de Mars". We had reserve a table and when we got to the restaurant we were greeted and taken to our table. I had a pumpkin soup with foie gras as a starter and the "Belle Sole" as main course. Both were just great. The choice of wines is pretty... More

This was ranked as one of the best Parisian restaurants which is why we chose to come. Unimpressed - high prices and the food simply wasn't that great. Maybe 2/5 is a little harsh, but when commanding these prices and with such excellent reviews, a counterbalance is required!

We only found out after dinner that the La Fontaine de Mars is somewhat famous because the Obamas at there in 2009. I doubt the food would have tasted any better, or worse, had we known that beforehand. La Fontaine is a very authentic french bistro, serving bistro food in a bistro setting. For ambience and location, it gets five... More

We were eager to visit this renowned restaurant for many reasons, only one of which was because President Obama and Michelle Obama once dined there. It is located near the Eiffel Tower and surrounded by many trendy shops. The service was excellent as they were attentive and friendly. We sipped on Domaine Ott Rose and enjoyed escargot (for the first... More
