We ate in the upstairs dining room. Seating is tight the food is good. The desserts are amazing. The crowds come in for dinner about 9pm.

It's been awhile since my last trip to Paris. But my sister and I agree that of all of our meals this was favorite dinner. The menu is classic french bistro fare. My cassoulet was tasty, and perfect for a chilly night. My sister loved her dessert of creme brûlée. We got a table without reservations the night we were... More

We wanted a special place for our final dinner - not fancy, but an authentic and great experience. We couldn't have been happier with the ambience (checkered tablecloths, tables close together, jovial waiter) and the food (fantastic escargots, steak frites, and chicken as the Sunday plat du jour). Don't miss this venerable place. Sometimes restaurants blow up after a lot... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local tour guide. The setting is very Parisian, outdoor seating. A good menu with a nice variety of dishes. The waiter was very good and patient with our lack of French There is an English menu, so ordering was easy. It's not cheap, $140.00 for tow, but it's a lovely experience on a summer's... More

Lunch for three at very popular somewhat touristy restaurant near Eiffel Tower. A little conceited that the Obamas had lunch on the terrace. In fact, they have a sign that says so! The host was somewhat haughty but the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dishes were wonderfully prepared and delicious. Shrimp appetizer, monk fish main course and mousse... More

Had the pleasure of dining at La Fontaine de Mars several times before and also after President and Mrs. Obama dined here in 2009. What is great is that the bistro's character has not changed one iota in the interim and the 'event' is only marked by a small brass plaque on the upper floor. The menu may seem limited... More

We thought the restaurant itself was charming. Recommended as a good choice by Hotel du Louvre as a nice local type restaurant. I had Beef Tartare, not for everyone, and for me ,had too many capers in it. My dinner partner had a fish special that he only just liked, not loved.Like I said, a cute place but we would... More

Stop here for a drink while we are waiting to do our Eiffel Tower Tour, the staff were a bit rude and I don't think that they were not to happy that we were only having a drinks (Beer & Wine). Don't think that we would so back, which is shame as the restaurant is the great location.

This is the third time I have visited this well appointed bistro, in a very nice neighborhood. The place is always busy, and the clientele mostly tourist, specially from the US. The food was amazing!! We had the hot foie gras, which was one of the best I have ever had in Paris, or France for that matter! Absolutely delicious!!... More
