We we didn't make reservation, but luckily managed to get a table late at night. The restaurant serves soufflés for entrees and desserts and they were all delicious. We will definitely come back again next time in Paris.

We had such a fun evening at this restaurant, enjoying savory and sweet soufflés; it was an out of the ordinary experience and we were glad we tried it. The service was not great; we felt ignored part of the evening and it was hard to get a waiter's attention. But the soufflés were great: We had wonderful cheese soufflés,... More

We did not end up eating here. It was very busy and we and others waited while the staff greeted locals and friends and ignored Americans. It was really off putting so we left without dining. Maybe we missed a gem but felt sure the table service would be reflective of our wait.

We go to Le Recamier every time that we come to Paris. The soufflés are so very good. The variety of savory and sweet soufflés is extraordinary. Don't miss this restaurant. Make sure you book.

We had a very pleasant lunch at Recamier with my cousin Firouzeh. It was a real pleasure to have lunch outside with no cars and traffic. Reservation is a must as most tables are usually reserved by locals living in the neighborhood. Recamier serves serious soufflés both salted and sweet. You absolutely must try the caramel salted butter soufflé for... More

I had an excellent meal, terrific dinner and dessert souffles... but I didn't have my daughters with celiac with me. I'm sure a number of the main dishes are gluten free... the savory souffles are NOT but THERE IS A GLUTEN FREE DESSERT SOUFFLE! I cannot imagine how overjoyed my girls would have been to have had a dessert souffle.... More

Delicious, creative soufflés by the long-time chef/owner Gérard Idoux, served by a wonderful team of professional waitstaff. Do not miss the soufflé au caramel beurre salé (salted caramel) when you visit! It's worth every calorie... NB: Le Recamier also has one of the coziest off-street terraces in the city.

Every time my husband and I and Paris we have to have at least one meal at this restaurant. Very nice manager, chef and waiters. Every single dish has been superb and you must try the salted caramel soufflé for dessert

In the heart of the left bank, it is the best place to have a souffle in Paris as far as I am concerned. You MUST sit outside as the inside of the restaurant is loud and white crowded. I love that you can have a savory souffle as well as sweet ones and no one does it better. Fun... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
