Having read so much about this restaurant I decided to try the degustation menu which included lobster and poultry. I must say that the vegetable creations are much more impressive than the meat dishes. The duck and chicken was rather ordinary whereas the beetroot tartar was outstanding. The portions were very substantial and I had difficulty when the desserts arrived.... More

I've been here 5 times over the past 25 years, and each meal has been astonishing in one way or another. My recent visit a few days ago was the same: a perfectly cooked, perfectly paced meal involving the very best seasonal vegetables (we ordered the all-vegetarian menu du marché). While not every one of the 12 course was perfection,... More

I went there for lunch today and totally blowed away by all the dishes. I did not know veggie dishes could be that good until now. I was in heaven and was enjoying every dish. Other than the great creations from the kitchen, the service were excellent as well. I really appreciate their service. The chef - Alain came out... More

It was with great anticipation that I dined here on August 31 with my French friend for 50 years, a countess who lives a short distance from the restaurant, We were immediately swarmed by very young and pushy hostess and waiters who could not explain the menu choices in either French or English (and frankly didn't seem to care at... Maybe not what you expect although we knew the chef changed his menu a while back to become one of the best veggie focused chefs in Paris. Helpful to know the restaurant still has plenty of protein options available. We went for lunch which was a good idea. The lunch surprise menu is more reasonably priced and by adding a... More

L'Arpege is one of the great restaurants where masterful simplicity and great ingredients are the key. We had a sensational lunch which seemed never to end, and which included a number of dishes which no-one else seemed to have. When I enquired, my charming waitress said nonchalantly that this was normal, and that Alain Passard liked to do this, whenever he... We visited L'Arpege yesterday and without a doubt this is one of the finest dining experiences we have enjoyed - even compared to some more widely publicised in higher league table positions, particularly in or around London. Strangely perhaps, I won't dwell on the food too much simply because others have described it with a flourish and vibrancy I am... More

I had high hopes for L'Arpege after having heard so much about it. After some amazing meals in Copenhagen I was excited for a vegetable forward place in the French style and to come to this legendary chef. The food did not disappoint. Service was excellent. The food was impeccable. The ingredients top notch. The highlights were the ravioli, onion... More

We had high hopes for this acclaimed and very expensive restaurant. Small, beautiful room. We choose the vegetarian tasting menu. Several exquisite dishes -- but the entire 11 course meal contained essentially no protein or hearty dishes-- no legumes, beans, eggs, barely any dairy or nuts, not even mushrooms -- so felt insubstantial. Some delicious, others uninspired or even tasteless.

Had a very good meal here with excellent vegetable produce sourced from Alain Passard's own garden. Favorite dish was the zucchini soup with peppers and bay leaf, as well as the duck with French beans and white beans. Service was friendly albeit the restaurant was very tight and close proximity with other diners. Dinner price was a stretch at EU380,... More
