There is a good reason why Chez Dumonet has been around since 1895. It's the delicious and very French food. Although known for its great beef bourguignon the restaurant serves many other classic dishes. There are few places I would order steak tartare, but this is one of them. They prepare it tableside, so you get a performance as well... More

Chez Dumonet is literally yards away from where we having been staying all summer, and we finally went for lunch today. It has a good reputation and our meal certainly reflected that. An "amuse" of sauvignon blanc and pork rillettes was a good beginning. I had an excellent smoked haddock appetizer, my wife a green salad. We had their signature... More

The food was absolutely amazing..from starter (home-made rilletts, mousse de lapin, tomato salad a l'ancienne) to the home-made smoked salmon, to the soufflé a grand marnier! The steak looked amazing. The staff were fantastic! Clearly, the manager is superb, creating an environment of warmth and welcoming, while serving the best meal I had while in Paris! Highly recommend it.

We ate mainly at bistros while in Paris. This was our best meal by far. We were greeted with a glass of Sauvignon blanc and an amuse bouche of pork rillette which was awesome. After reading the reviews, my husband had the Boeuf Bourguignon and it was INCREDIBLE!!!! The sauce was so layered with flavors, you can tell this was... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a woman at the Dali museum, it was just down the street from our hotel and we were able to get a reservation that day. The food was wonderful, although after seeing the steak tartare prepared I was disappointed that I hadn't order it. I had the beef bourguignon, which was very good... More

Had a wonderful last night blowout French dinner here that did not disappoint! Terrine of mushrooms and pea soup was delicious and of course they are justifiably famous for the beef bourguignon. We ate late but the place was packed, but the stuff was busy and efficient. The Grand Marnier souffle was amazing!!

We were fortunate to get a last minute dinner reservation on our last night in Paris. My 12 year old was impressed by the duck confit. Food was amazing, especially the mushroom filled with foie gras ( I can't remember the name ). Waiters were attentive. Price is reasonable for the quality of food. Menu is in French but waiters... When there's a Ferrari parked outside, you know it must be a good place! They squeezed us in even though we didn't have a reservation. Would definitely recommend the haddock and boeuf bourguignon. Lovely little place with a great wine selection for any price point.

Loved our meal here. It was our 20th wedding anniversary, our last dinner in Paris, and the food could not have been more perfect. Served up the classics beautifully. Impeccable service without being too formal or stuffy. Especially sweet was the way the staff treated each other. We don't speak a ton of French, but was clear a young rookie... More
