Fantastic dinner with colleagues , we all ordered the daily pasta special with broccoli and blue cheese, it was delicious. The house wine was very good, the service was courteous and patient while we waited for all to arrive. The desserts were good but not...as good as the main dish! Very worthwhile restaurant in this part of Paris.More

Nice little place in a cozy area of Paris. Everything is made with love but you need to be patient with the service. Everybody is so nice and want to do the best they can for you but I think we hit a bad day....We ended up leaving without eating as it took too long and when we finaly ordered they came back 10 minutes later and told us that they didn't have what we ordered. Wine was great though :-) It is a family place so expect kids ! I hope they stay in business and get it together.More

We had dinner here as we were staying nearby. We had a reservation but were seated at the worst located table - in the entrance near the restroom despite that the restaurant was not busy. After we carefully began to review the offerings in French,...the waitress brusquely turned the menu over to English even though the translation was not very accurate. (Example, the wheat pasta dish included eggplant but that ingredient was missing from the English menu). Anyway, the food was great which is why this review is 4-starred. The local cheese entree and gazpacho were outstanding, and the homemade wheat pasta was one of the best dishes I had in Paris. I just wish we had felt more welcomed. This was the only restaurant in Paris where we felt singled out because of our nationality.More

Visiting les Jardin des Plantes and feel like a healthy and good lunch? Tired of stepping into tourist traps? This place is highly frequented by local residents since 1984. Consistently good, original dishes all based on homemade pasta with many natural ingredients.

Fantastic little restaurant. My husband had barley pasta with salmon, and I had a rye pasta with ham. It was divine!

As like a lot of reviews it's great simple food, a small menu I believe changed a few times a year, all is made on site from the grain to pasta, ours was hot, fresh and plenty to go round, the bread was an artisan...loaf. Yes it's a lot of money for pasta, but if as it states it's all hand made that day it's not and as Paris goes for food prices it's low...a main is around £12, well worth finding if your near by, I believe it the 7th district. FYI I'm sure you can access in a wheel chair and toilet is on the same level, as I didn't use I can't say if you could acces with wheel chair, but for France it's the first place we've been in this trip without stairs into it or the toilet.More

After a 2-year hiatus, my wife and I returned to Paris and had lunch yesterday at Le Jardin des Pates, near the Jardiin des Plantes. Our sole complaint is that the tables are so crowded together that it is difficult to get to some tables...and it is elbow to elbow. I would have rated the restaurant 5 stars if not for the crowded atmosphere. AND the only reason I downgraded it by that 1 star is to give people a head's up, who have claustrophobic problems. Otherwise, the restaurant is superb. It's very small and very popular, judging from the lunch traffic. But the crowd did move out almost en masse when the lunch hour was over. The menu is not large but is very interesting and they specialize in pate meals. There was not a single thing off-putting or wrong with our meals. The food was excellently prepared, fresh, generous portions, friendly service (if a tad slow because of the crowd). Food is reasonably-priced, if not cheap. The wine list is, similarly to the food menu, interesting good choices but not overly large -- nor would I expect a longer list at this size of an establishment. My recommendation? Go, surely so, if you are in the vicinity of the Jardin des Plantes, keeping in mind the close quartered seating. And, arrive when they open -- to beat the on-rush of lunchtime patrons.More

This review relates to the pasta they serve. My wife and I each had a pasta dish and we shared a green salad. Hers was the wheat pasta with tomato and mine was the chestnut pasta with duck - both were both excellent. They make...their own pasta, starting with grinding the grains. The serving sizes were larger than I expected. The green salad was very fresh with a nice dressing.More

This restaurant is very cozy and one of the few we found that opens late. The waitress was very friendly and spoke Spanish and English. We arrived at around 9pm and found that only a few of the dish on the menu were available. However,...all of the pastas looked delicious. The plates are served abundantly and taste delicious. There are some vegetarian options. In addition, it is important to note that they do not serve soft drinks like Coca Cola, etc. They have their own Bio soft drinks. I ordered freshly pressed orange juice. The prices are very reasonable and I would recommend this place.More

If you love pasta, this is the place for you. House made organic pasta. Delicious salads. Generous amounts (my salad of crudites was so big I couldn't finish it). I can't wait to go back to Paris to eat in that restaurant again. At 8pm,...the place was packed but we were lucky to get the last table available. My pasta was served with cream and salmon, and my mouth is still watering. Better yet, don't go there so there's always a spot available for me!!!More
