I would love to give this 5 stars but I consider this restaurant to be in the high end category so I can only give it a 4.5. The service is excellent and the setting is elegant. Although it was on the expensive side you can get an impressive 3 course meal for only $65. Even more surprising is you... More

This was the most beautiful meal for a business group of 8. The service was wonderful, the food amazingly presented and the wines lovely and reasonably priced if you select carefully (There was Romanee Conti for €14,000 a bottle - yes, I have used the right number of zeros - if you want to splash out).

I should start by saying that the staff here were pleasant and polite. We were greeted well and shown immediately to our table. I should also say that my partners fish dish was lovely and that he enjoyed it very much. My gripe is that I couldn't eat the Skate dish I ordered because it was old and smelt of... More

Had dinner here at the weekend. Good service and excellent wine, but the food was only average really given the relatively high price. Some top quality starters (sea bream tartare, fois gras) but the salads were just too big for a starter and the main courses (the faux-steak and the lobster in particular) were just a bit boring. Despite it... More

Birthday day celebration. Memorable occasion and attentive staff. Dinner, dessert and wine selection were outstanding. Drouant came highly recommended and did not disappoint.

To cut a long story short, I was invited by one of the owners after translating (my job) their menu a couple of years ago and, apparently, being "very nice"... I had lunch there in April 2016, and had known Drouant for years since I used to live a few hundred yards away. I don't always believe in "Michelin ***",... More

The restaurant is located maybe 500m south of Blvd Haussmann on a small peaceful square with away from the traffic. You can eat inside and outside on a nice terrace, shielded from the street. We were welcomed at the door and offered to eat in our out. We decided for inside, hoping for it to be cooler than outside. The... More

Although the food is not Michelin star-tier of spectacular, the traditional and yet fancy food is good. Service is fast and reliant, very professional. Also, the location is very beautiful, in some sort of hidden path, especially in summer. I will certainly come back!

Went on Sunday July 3rd before France played in the Euro. Recommended by Westin concierge as good place for very nice meal on our last night in France. I read the reviews from others, and I can only say that my wife and I arrived at 6:50pm for a 7pm reservation (we were early). We were seated promptly, asked for... More

High expectations for this restaurant let down by reality. Marketed as a fine dining experience, it certainly appears that way on entry. Appearances don't count for much, however, when the quality of one of the courses was so poor that most was left. Service was mixed: waiters passed our table a number of times without filling empty wine glasses, making... More

Located in the Opéra neighbourhood, Le Drouant is a hot destination eatery – open 7 days a week – with five private rooms and a pleasant mezzanine. It is a real institution! Every year the famous Prix Goncourt takes place in one of the private rooms. You will appreciate its Brasserie ambiance and Art-Deco decoration married with a contemporary design. Black furniture and golden walls create a genuine experience, as well as outdoor seating. Plus, inventive menus seduce a varied crowd and satisfy varied appetites. Let’s relish the Chef’s hors d’oeuvre served by theme, in 4 small portions – Tomato Gaspacho, Peking Prawns, Marbled Ham and Stuffed Fajitas.Other products to taste: Veal Foie gras from Corrèze and roasted Cod.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
