Although the food is not Michelin star-tier of spectacular, the traditional and yet fancy food is good. Service is fast and reliant, very professional. Also, the location is very beautiful, in some sort of hidden path, especially in summer. I will certainly come back!

Went on Sunday July 3rd before France played in the Euro. Recommended by Westin concierge as good place for very nice meal on our last night in France. I read the reviews from others, and I can only say that my wife and I arrived at 6:50pm for a 7pm reservation (we were early). We were seated promptly, asked for... More

High expectations for this restaurant let down by reality. Marketed as a fine dining experience, it certainly appears that way on entry. Appearances don't count for much, however, when the quality of one of the courses was so poor that most was left. Service was mixed: waiters passed our table a number of times without filling empty wine glasses, making... More

We ate in this restaurant on a Sunday evening and had a lovely meal. The food was very nice and well presented. An excellent wine list and nice service. We had an excellent moment in this restaurant

Booked the private Salon Goncourt for a special occasion Feb 2016. Booking made in Oct 2015 and all details subsequently confirmed by their ‘Reservations Dept’. On the day of the event (only because I happen to drop in to check on things!) I am informed that they have double booked themselves. Long story cut short: The staff onsite try to... More

I'm commenting on an establishment far from my usual haunts and cuisine and I hope I don't run out of characters. Found this restaurant many years ago and through business was fortunate enough to visit here twice a year. Situated near The Opera, it's fine dining personified. Bookings essential well in advance which can be done online. Table #32 is... More

We found ourselves looking for a little bistro in Paris, and asked the concierge for help. Having tried a few others in the area, he recommended this one - a little upmarket but not over the top. Service was efficient, even to English speaking people. The food order is taken by one person, and the wine order by another, with... More

The food was good, the service was great. But, we had better food elsewhere. It was VERY expensive for what you got. Small servings. But, they were mostly tasty. The four of us all agreed, we would not eat there again. I would choose something like the others I have reviewed in Paris ... check out my other reviews. The... More

Drouant serves classic French Bistro cuisine. Rich, decadent, subtle flavors, expertly cooked and wonderfully presented. I was also lucky to dine when white asparagus is at its finest. Steamed to perfection with a simple yet rich hollandaise sauce this is a seasonal treat the is not to be missed. The John Dory fish main course was equally perfectly prepared. Tender... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
