Quintessentially French - elegant, good service and splendid food. I had the best pork and wilted spinach I have eaten in a very long time. Service attentive but not intrusive. Prices high but not overwhelming

This upmarket restaurant is popular with both local Parisians and tourists. It's an upmarket restaurant where the food is being pushed up a notch to modernise some French favourites. There are set menus available, as well as a la carte. The four choice entree -where smaller portions of your choice of four entrees is served is a great place to... More

My wife and I dined at Drouant following a recommendation by our hotel concierge. We had asked him for a restaurant serving good French cuisine. Upon entering, my immediate impression was that the establishment was large by Paris standards with the tables well spaced apart. The decor was clean and pleasant if somewhat Spartan. We were seated at a large... More

We had the chance to dine in this fancy restaurant for a recent celebration. Everything was sumptuous. An excellent selection of wine to accompany any plate you order. Save this address for a special occasion, you won't be disappointed!!!

This is not a cosy restaurant. The decoration is pale. But what matters is the food. And its good food. On the expensive side but worth the money . I started with the 4 starters mix for 28 Euro. Good ones! The chicken for main and the 4 dessert mixes to end. Service impeccable. But the restaurant does not leave... More

This is my second visit to this restaurant, the first was 2 years ago and it was very nice too. The difference is that time I did not have a baby and it was easier to dine whereever we wanted. This time we visited with our baby and reserved private room for 6 upstairs. The room was quiet, clean and... More

we had a very slow start here and they were overwhelmed and understaffed but made up for it with the food! we started with appetizers including the egg with mayo and was a real shocker on how good it was. our main dishes were very good too. the atmosphere was fun and festive.

We were able to walk in on a Friday night which was great. Our appetizers of ceviche and foie gras were great, but our entrée and dessert were just okay (steak and fish). Overall our two appetizers, two entrees, one dessert and a half bottle of wine were a little over 150€. While the service was great (until the end... More

I would love to give this 5 stars but I consider this restaurant to be in the high end category so I can only give it a 4.5. The service is excellent and the setting is elegant. Although it was on the expensive side you can get an impressive 3 course meal for only $65. Even more surprising is you... More

Located in the Opéra neighbourhood, Le Drouant is a hot destination eatery – open 7 days a week – with five private rooms and a pleasant mezzanine. It is a real institution! Every year the famous Prix Goncourt takes place in one of the private rooms. You will appreciate its Brasserie ambiance and Art-Deco decoration married with a contemporary design. Black furniture and golden walls create a genuine experience, as well as outdoor seating. Plus, inventive menus seduce a varied crowd and satisfy varied appetites. Let’s relish the Chef’s hors d’oeuvre served by theme, in 4 small portions – Tomato Gaspacho, Peking Prawns, Marbled Ham and Stuffed Fajitas.Other products to taste: Veal Foie gras from Corrèze and roasted Cod.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
