I must give credit to Le Apostite, the very small over booked restaurant on the same lane for sending us here. I am a huge fan of duck, but this was the largest, most succulent, cooked perfectly straight up duck steak I have ever had, and my local restauranteer does a great job. We had escargot... divine, and the lamb... More

We ate here last night. Wine selection suggested by waiter was tremendous. Duck breast was exquisite. The roasted cheese appetizer was perfect. I would recommend this small and cozy place to anyone. Reservations are recommended.

All I can do is agree with the other reviews. This is a cosy, typically Parisian restaurant close to the tourist strip but still a little out of the way. We loved it and lucky, that as Australians we were eating early and got the last table. My wife insists that she had the best creme brûlée in the WORLD!... More

This is a small, charming restaurant not far from Moulin Rouge. We decided to eat here before the show since we heard the reviews for Moulin Rouge dinner was not that great for the price. I am more than happy with that decision because Chez Toinette was the best meal I had while in Paris...and that says a lot since... More

It's a lovely little place with delicious food. We had ravioli and goat cheese salad for a starter and beef steak and lamb shank for main. To finish off we ordered Tiramisu to share. Finger licking good! This was exactly the kind of French type of restaurant I was hoping for. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Plus, staff is very... More

When we arrived, they were a bit behind schedule so we had to wait around 10 minutes. They then served us tasty red wine, excellent cheese and salad including bread, for free. I have never in my life experienced such hospitality, customer service at its best. The food it self was incredible, personally i have never had a better roasted... More

We visited the place when we were in Paris, and the restaurant was small, but all of the food and wine were tasty. The owners were efficient, friendly and helpful. The place were clean, cosy and seemed we were in a different world than Paris' other restaurants. We didn't want to pay 16euro for a pizza so having the opportunity... More

We ended in this place by accident, but we will comeback by chose. It is a very Parisian place, with less than 10 tables for two persons each. Personal attention by passioned and kindly owners, but the best thin was the food. Every single choose we ordered was simply fantastic! If you look for some place very local, this is... More

Lovely little authentic French restaurant. Lovely food and good service. You need to book - they turned a lot of people away whilst we were there.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
