A brilliant bistro tucked in the Marais. Do get your hotel to make a booking or be there at 6 when it opens. A great menu of meats cooked in an open kitchen over a roaring fire. Try the lamb cutlets and mushrooms. Moderately priced...and well worth the visit.More

Our friends used to live upstairs many years ago and told us not to miss out on this unbelievable restaurant during our stay in Le Marais. This visit was over a year ago and we continue share this experience because it was so beautiful. While...the evening was not short on romance the FOOD & WINE were exquisite ~ I was made to feel like family! See my photos... we sat in their lovely window for dinner however downstairs is a sexy haunt for drinks too! The entire space was filled with laughter and love.More

If you love meat than this is your address. It is a 2 level restaurant main floor (entrance, few seating tables, open kitchen & BBQ) and lower floor (underground and larger dinning area with more tables)! I recommend the undeground part unless you enjoy the...smell of meat grilling. All the meat is grilled inside the chimney (OPEN BBQ) and it sure looks delicious. Very tender and delicious meat, i recommend the Cote de boeuf and T-Bone steak as well as the cotellette 👅💦. Service is very friendly and accurate. Great wine selection. Prices are medium to high. Me and my partner have had the MOST PERFECT dinner here at Robert et Louis. We ordered an amazing steak (they have a big grill where you can see them actually grilling the meat) with baked potatoes and lettuce. We then had a strawberry cheesecake...that was delicious. We have been there a year ago, and we STILL remember this dinner. I think that tells a lot about food here!More

Love returning to this restaurant when we are in Paris. Great escargots, great steak, great potatoes, great deserts and great wines. What else do you need?

Fantastic atmosphere. Charming and rustic. One of the best meals I've ever had in Paris. Potatoes are cooked in the wood fueled ovens - simply yummy. Grab a seat at the bar downstairs. Staff will take excellent care of you. Duck Breast is superb.

A lovely small venue, 2 chefs and 2 wait staff, menu was simple, good options for non meat eaters, I had a 400gm T-Bone cooked medium rare, cooked to perfection. Other at the table share a 1 kg ribeye on the bone again cooked to...perfection. We started with snails, just a great start. Open kitchen, steaks cooked on cast iron plate over wood fire. Just the best. Great wine list. Add it to the list. A must go.More

What a great meal! This restaurant was recommended by friends, who described it as "one of their favorite meals while in Paris" and my husband and I very much agree with their sentiment. We shared the large rib-eye for two, which comes with potatoes and...a lovely dressed salad. They serve mustard with the steak on the side, and that was life changing! So much so that I brought home a plethora of french mustard in my suitcase just for this new taste sensation. I also ate my first escargot and it was tasty. We had the creme brulee and chocolate cake for dessert and a great bottle of red wine with dinner. Service was attentive and many people came in while we were dinning, wanting to eat there, but it is clear you very much need reservations for this popular restaurant. A highlight of our Paris trip for sure.More

The perfect place for grilled meat. Servings are big, grilled over an open fire. Service is friendly. Need reservations, because it is so popular.

I did not contact them for a reservation. I emailed the hotel I was going to be staying at, and they made the reservation for me. Easy and no problem.
