Located at a quiet corner of Paris, this restaurant offers one of the best escargo I've tasted. French cuisine at its finest. Don't forget to also sample their duck dishes. Their prices are affordable and their service is excellent.

We went here twice. It's lovely to sit outside and watch everyone enjoying the beautiful Place Dauphine. The waiters were helpful and friendly and the service was quick. The steak with potatoes was very good and my husband had the lamb both nights and loved it! I had the veal stew the second night, the veal was fatty and the... More

Located on the quiet Place Dauphine this is a GREAT French Bistro. Restaurant Paul was our last meal in Paris and we weren't disappointed. We were a group of 8 with 3 children under 2. Unfortunately they didn't have high chairs however they were able to seat us in a side room in the restaurant which suited us perfectly. The... More

Located at a quiet place this restaurant offers all that is expected from a French restaurant but at a fair price. Service is superb and food is amazing! Wine, escargots, terrine de foie gras, filet mignon, magret de canard and creme brulee were all dreamy. This is one of those places that remain in your memory for good and that... More

Enticed by the location, menu and signage. Don't let it fool you. Subpar salad. Disinterested service. Waste of a meal. Don't bother. There are so many better places to eat in Paris.

I had sea bass and white wine. The waiter recommended a wine to go with the fish. It was very good. Excellent service. This was the location in one of the final scenes in the movie "Me Before You". Restaurant Paul has several locations throughout Paris. This was the location used in the movie according to the Internet research I... More

Well, the food was not that bad but overpriced and served with an arrogant French style unfortunately so common in the capital... If you don't speak the Moliere language you are not existent! Just avoid this touristic place.

Traveling with a friend of the same name, we of course had to visit Restaurant Paul! The location is perfect - right on Ile de la Cite, near Pont Neuf, in Place Dauphine, it's quiet and charming. We were able to enjoy our dinner outside, and it was wonderful. Although it was not on the menu, they kindly prepared a... More

Our third trip to France, we found delicious and fun dining in La Place Dauphine on the western corner of the Île de la Cité, the birthplace of Paris. It is central, an easy walk from St. Germain des Près, the Latin Quarter, Le Marais, and the Louvre. The manager, Véronique, made the experience relaxing and fun with her genuine... More

The manager of Restaurant Paul, Véronique, and her son, Andres, a server, are gems! They are the epitome of fine French service in this cute restaurant located in a beautiful and peaceful square, Place Dauphine, in the center of Paris. Chef Yacine's very French cuisine was absolutely delicious! The scallops, in particular, were excellent, as were the desserts. We felt... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
