Initial confusion about the day booked ( i thought i was right but hey don't we all??) No problem- they found us a table ( thank god we walked for exercise from Cluny) . Staff friendly - personally welcomed by owner . Wonderful meal with great bottle of reasonably priced wine. Sorry this review is 3 weeks delayed so some... More

The staff made you feel like a friend returning to your neighborhood restaurant. It's a really cool place (small, but that was part of the fun). The food was good...certainly not the best we had in Paris. If you're in the area, or if you are in Paris for 4-5 days (or more), certainly make reservations here....you'll enjoy it.

This tiny bistro near Montparnasse is worth seeking out. Friendly staff, great service and excellent food can be found here! We enjoyed a starter of pork belly carpaccio, a black cod special and pike quenelles a la Nantua. All typically Lyonnais. The tables are so close together that you will get to know your neighbor. The dapper gentlemen at the... More

The staff are very charming, the restaurant is very charming and the food is delicious. A great choice for French dining. My mum, young daughter and I all ordered different drinks and food and all loved our dishes.

If you are in the area (or in Paris at all!!) you should definitely head to Chez Marcel! We stayed across the street at Hotel Le Six (which is amazing!) for our honeymoon, and had our last dinner at Chez Marcel. What started as a choice because of the convenient location ended up as our best night in Paris! The... More

An excellent introduction to French Cuisine for my daughter's first trip to Paris. We visited Tues whilst enjoying our stay at Hotel Le Six, so glad we made the table reservation on our arrival at the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We ate here our last night in Paris. The food was wonderful and our waiter was fantastic. The place is tiny and was packed when we ate there. I would definitely recommend making a reservation.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
