Last minute lunch with my teenage son before jumping on the Eurostar. Decent food, decent choices on the chalk board menu and I thought they were reasonably priced given the location and the exchange rate! Huge lobster soup starter, tonnes of food bread, beef cheek and a salt cod for the mains and the cheese board was superb. They just... More

Ate here whilst waiting for connecting trains during our French holiday. Perfect location just around the corner from gare du nord and is exactly how you'd imagine a stereotypical bistro. Tightly packed tables and staff busily flitting about, a menu of 3 or 4 courses for €24/28 (with or without the cheese) with each course having 4-5 choices on the... More

Gare du Nord is often a bit frantic and we arrived with a couple of hours before our train, and wandered around looking for a quiet park to sit and read. Fortunately for us we stumbled across Chez Casimir. Superbly helpful staff; good food; indoor and outdoor tables and the bonus of some splendid frescoes on the front of the... More

I was brought here by a Parisien foodie friend who lives nearby and loves this restaurant. He has incredibly high standards so rarely I am disappointted. Surely enough the dinner fixed price menu was outstanding. There were about 6 or more choices for starters, mains, desserts and the most generous cheese tableau. I loved the variety of options - although... More

Had lunch here after arriving around midday at Gare du Nord in Paris. Had their prix fixe menu- my husband got an appetizer and a main course, I got a main course and a dessert and it shared quite nicely. I would certainly recommend the melon and meat appetizer we got. The staff was very helpful, explaining the menu in... More

What a find. Close to the Gard du Nord but a world away from the touristy fare on offer in the immediate areas around the station. A three minute walk and we were in a small restaurant, warmly welcomed by the patron. As it was Saturday they were serving brunch. A table of interesting starters to begin, then locally caught... No English menu but the stuff we're very friendly and helpful. The fish soup, tuna, cheese board, rice pudding are quite nice.

Excellent prix fixe menu, good Breton choices, extensive cheeseboard. Slightly off the beaten track, good bar next door with range of real ales.

This simple little cafe near Le Gare du Nord delivers superb cooking. The bartender/waiter was delightful despite being madly busy. He took time to translate the menu for a man who didn't read French. The short menu was written on a chalkboard. The wild Norman oysters were great! The scallops were perfect.

I came here as I was staying close to Gare du Nord, and boy was it a good choice! This is the classic unassuming neighbourhood restaurant providing outstanding food, cooked with care and attention to detail. The menu is limited to a small number of starters, mains and desserts, and is a fixed price for 3 courses (with an added... More
