Walking in, the style was very simple, but it was immediately clear that locals frequent Chez Andre. The service was prompt and friendly, and the waitress taught us a few French phrases. The onion soup was delicious, and the frogs legs were served as a healthy portion. The house wine was also very good. All in all, an excellent dinner... More

We came here on the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. We asked for somewhere that would give us great French food and we weren't disappointed. Small, bustling, great atmosphere and even better food. The menu is classic French, and not massive but still offers plenty of options. We turned up with our baby in a stroller on Valentine's... Chez Andre is great for wonderful food within walking distance of hotels in the 8th arr. It is quite crowded but worth it for the food.

Oyster out the door, senior ladies serving tables, confused table's disposition, very classic menu and the feeling that you live around. It reaches the point that your orders are "answered" with eloquent facial expressions by the waiter....approving or rejecting those without saying a word. This place is full of locals...sons and mothers, couples, big families....the atmosphere is not exactly related... More

Nice place to have a French cuisine dinner. Le Strogonoff, Les huitres, Les escargots all these dishes were very good. Very good service. The only think to mentioned that is not good is that the tables are narrow to each other. Good place to go!

When in France... A very cozy Parisian bistro, with wonderful service. I ordered a dozen oysters that tasted fresh and had that wonderful salty juice. Like taking a shot of cold ocean water. Then, I had the fish soup which rivals any fish soup I have ever had. The croutons w/ cheese and dip just made the whole experience even... More

This is a real neighborhood restaurant. We have been coming here since the 1960's as it was close to my husband's office and now we return each year when we are on our annual monthly visit. The food is authentic and "honest." Price quality is good and it is a great find in this very expensive area.

A great authentic Parisian experience. Waiters were Parisian-snotty in a jovial way. Food was scrumptious - wife had the pan-seared cod and I had the scallops. All cooked with robust flavour. Wine choice was limited, but the wine chosen was great. I felt bad for the guy stuck outside whose job it was to shuck the oysters, but they were... More

Really good bustling atmosphere, charming staff, good traditional French food. Tables very close as cramed in on a Saturday night and the service was a little chaotic, but all forgivable as added to the general atmosphere

Every guest there was French except us.. The food and the service was superb. My husband was not well and couldn't his main course and they didn't charge us for it.... It was a Sunday night and still people were coming in at 10.30. They had the latest Beaujolais that had been released just that week and it was marvelous.
