After four decades of frequently visiting Paris for business, I have put this little gem of a restaurant on my must always visit list. The Yucatan style cuisine, delicious (and potent) Margaritas, and charming staff never disappoint. It was first recommended to me by a...staff member at the Mexican Embassy.More
Sorry. This isn't authentic Mexican. Mexican food is spicy. Not bland. Margaritas are supposed to be strong. Not watered down. Chips and salsa in a thumbnail sized bowl? Maybe if you are dieting. I used to love the place on my prior trips to Paris....I regret this is officially on the "avoid at all costs" list. We have had better Mexican at TGIFs. So disappointing.More
A short walk from Notre Dame. It was CINCO DE MAYO...that holiday celebrated by most Los Angelinos with consumption to tons of tasty mexican food and too many Margharitas and Mexican beer. We knew that a Paris version could not possibly by as good as...back home (Santa Monica) BUT IT WAS!!! Absolutely terrific food...showing wonderful care in preparation....awash in hearty Mexican food flavors. Tables full with happy diners. We loved it and would go again for sure this weekend if the restaurant weren't 9,000 miles away !!More
We made several visits to this fine Mexican restaurant during our trip to Paris. Very good service in a comfortable setting. We had some very nice dishes, all prepared in a traditional manner. We shared a taco combo plate and also tried the enchiladas and...quesadilla - all very nice. But the real star of the show were the margaritas, among the best we ever had. They were the perfect icy consistency - outstanding.

It is one of the best ways to have a good diner at a fair price in Paris. The so friendly staff makes your evening simply one of the unforgettable things of Paris. It was for us the 2nd time we were here and once...more we were extremely pleased, so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!More
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on a week night. The older waitress (owner?) kept trying to push us to take the 39-euro appetizer dish. Then we ordered and she told us the tamales, which was the reason for going to this...place, would not be ready until 9PM. It was 7:30. This problem with tamale availability issues is not on the menu, however (Otherwise we would have booked a table later). The food came, and the chile relleno, among other dishes, was lukewarm. We had two pitchers of margaritas, but the waitress kept trying to push for more. We left and one of my friends was literally pushed out the door by her. I live in Paris, I love Mexican food, but I will never go there again.More
There’s good and there’s bad. Let’s start with the good.
+ service to get the food out was quick and the waiters were pleasant.
+ the atmosphere was fairly good, there were French regulars so clearly someone likes the place.
+ One of the mains...was tasty but not VFM.
- The wine was diabolical - oxidised, basically urine coloured it was clear it had been opened for many days. Flat. We didn’t touch it and the waiter never asked us anything on taking away the full glasses and charged us. A clear sign of knowing guilt. Everyone else was drinking margaritas and thinking back on it we should have done that also.
- The fajitas were bland - I can make better fajitas myself. However my partners main was quite nice and tasty and other people were enjoying their food so perhaps it was a bad choice.
- Service around drinks/paying etc was slow.
20€ for a Mexican main of the quality we had is overpriced.More
An unexpected find during our 10 days in Paris. Everything our party of three ordered was absolutely wonderful: margaritas, guac, chicken mole, chili relleno, and enchiladas verdes. Delightful and personable service made it the best dinner on our vacation!
