I had dinner here with 2 persons from Paris, very good winelist with qualitywines at Eur 40. The food is excellent, had a very nice foie gras and a piece of lamb. Selection of cheese correct. Service was a little too fast, but there was only a small amount of customers. All in all a good experience, Eur 90 per... More

Excellent dinner - this time we stayed in Paris for 3 nights only and this was by far the best dinner we had (1 of the others was at a Guy Savoy restaurant which was nice but a bit sterile). Attentive staff, very interesting cuisine - thank you for the introduction to aligot and hand picked wine list all contributed... More

Delicious hearty dinner in this traditional restaurant. Staff is welcoming. Although our entrees did not include the famous Aligot our waiter shared a tiny portion with us so that we did not miss out. Chocolate mousse is a must for dessert.

We stayed in an apartment on the Rue de Montmorency and were looking for a nearby restaurant we could walk to in the rain! Fortunately for us the Ambassade d'Auverge was right nearby. We had a delightful meal of the best beef stew I have ever had. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. We sat... More

We have been dining here for 8 years, and it has always been our most special restaurant in Paris. It has always felt like a group of friends and extended family more than a standard restaurant. This evening, however, the abiding memory will be of portion control and commercial drive, rather than love of food and the Auvergne. If Brillat-Savarin... More

It was recommended by a local and it did not fail! We are taking our granddaughter back in March when we take her to Paris for her 16th birthday. Our dinner was outstanding, the atmosphere welcoming and charming and the staff was extraordinary. This will assuredly be one of her authentic Parisian memories!

The host is very friendly and knowledgeable and my wife asked for a wine to compliment the meal and he chose vet well If you want a great French... More

My wife and I came to Paris, from Sydney Australia, for our Honeymoon 3 weeks ago and we had the great fortune to eat here (we were staying in Rue Saint Martin). This place gave us an amazing French dining experience. It was absolutely beautiful. The service was also excellent with the staff being very friendly. We will remember our... More

This meal and one other were my two favorite meals in Paris. My main course was really delicious lamb and my husband's was duck. Service and setting were wonderful. Unlike many Parisian restaurants, guests there are graciously seated, not one on top of the other. Highly recommend. The owner visited with us to make sure we were happy and we... More

This place is close to our rented apartment and was selected because we wanted to try Aligot. The results were worth it as this place was so accommodating and nice. The food was fabulous and exceeded expectations. We had the Creme Brule and chocolate mousse for dessert that is some of the best I have ever had before. As a... More
