Have been here many times in the past and has been too long since last time. We very much enjoyed. Great service and great food in a very nice Paris Brasserie ambiance. I will continue to come back here.

Bofinger offers classic French food, all done to perfection. As a tourist hotspot, they will often lead customers through the beautiful restaurant and upstairs, to a less elegant dining room. If you speak French, it's worthwhile doing so when making reservations or explicitly asking for a table downstairs when booking to maximise your enjoyment.

Beautiful Belle Époque Restaurant in Bastille, Paris. The serving staff are very attentive. The menus are available in French and English. There is a fantastic selection of traditional food on the menu. The oysters are amazing! Would highly recommend for a meal in a group or a couple. We will be visiting again on our next visit.

I ate here 20 years ago and was delighted to return to this famous spot. The food was remarkable and beautifully presented. Gorgeous stained glass ceiling - so ask for seating in that room when you make a reservation.

Beautiful setting near Bastille. Very good and fast service although some times you get the impression they try show you off in order to welcome the next customers. The food typical for an alsatian brasserie with the sauerkraut plates etc but also some classical french nuances. The prices are ok for Paris, so if you are around Bastille it's worth... More

There's much to commend about Brasserie Bofinger. The dining room is beautiful and the service artful; all truly reflective of a past century. The entrees were well-prepared: the seabass with fennel was prepared better than any whole fish I've ever had: the taste was evocative of a fishing trip in the countryside -- how often can one say that? The... More

OK - after ten days in France, its easy to become a human French Twinkie - crusty bread filled with gooey cheese and divine wine... So what's another 2000 calories when you have to leave for home in less than eight hours?? Leave no butter, French onion soup or foie gras behind! Bofinger is an institution- the oldest brasserie in... More

Outstanding Food and Service in a beautiful setting! The waiters do everything to accommodate your wishes and never seem stressed even at a very high pace of service. The food was the best I had while visiting Paris.

Our meal was to celebrate a 70th birthday. What can I say - the waiter Florin (I think that is how to spell it) was one of the best waiters we have had. There was 5 for the meal, and he was attentive and although busy with other tables was always available to pour the wine. The atmosphere in the... More

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
