Bistrot Vivienne was recommended to us by our Hotel Concierge and was everything we asked for. The food was absolutely amazing, real French cuisine in a very unpretentious way. We visited twice and my husband ordered the young cockerel on both occasions. He was delighted with this amazing dish. But not only was the food delicious, the service was lovely,... More

Celebrated my birthday in this restaurant and what a treat it was. The food was amazing and the decor is cozy and elegant all at once. Classic French cuisine with some unusual twists. Good wine list. Impeccable service. Thank you for making my birthday memorable.

After being disappointed by Verjus- we found Bistrot Vivienne! Edmond was a spectacular waiter, the food delicious and the dessert sublime! I highly recommend searching out Galerie Vivienne ( a beautiful covered arcade near Palais Royal) and eating at Bistrot Vivienne.

It was ok and near our hotel so we tried it day 1 for lunch. Don't understand why it was crowded, maybe because it was a rainy day. I'd go elsewhere.

They have two high-chairs for babys but both of them are broken. There is no belts on it, you can ensure your child is safe...So how can you sit, relax and eat? Waiter charged us two euros extra for a started. I asked "why" and he went "oh sorry sorry sorry". Well....Is it a mistake? There is a 0.000001 chance... More

This was a real disappointment. The service was terrible, perhaps just on this evening, but we sat for a while (at least 10 mins) at an outside table before anyone came out. There were other diners outside, but clearly we were invisible. We were going to order food, but gave up after another 20 mins. Won't be going back.

We stopped there as it looked nice and cosy. This is a bistrot and the food and service were excellente. We were looked after by the whole team very well and the food was well presented and tasty. I recommand the veal steak or the pork steak. The snails were also really tasty with a bit of bacon in the... More

Bistrot Vivienne was a recommendation of one of our friends who lives in Paris. So after a trip to the Louvre we decided to stop by and check it out! It was excellent. The thing that stood out the most was the service. Our waiter was very attentive, helpful and freindly. Easily one of the top places we visited in... More

Great little Parisienne cafe/pub with really good food, our server made the night fun and never rushed us, and it is beautiful cafe as well. Food was delicious, beautiful and a pretty good value. Among us we had the roast chicken (yum) and a roast veal chop, both were simple and delicious. Go there for what I felt was a... More

We lingered late but no rush to make us leave.... I had a great fish tartar followed by a cheese plate big enough to share. My husband enjoyed the filet. Nice service. Reasonably priced. Great find!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
