If you're looking for Aux Fins Gourmets you might be confused by the name on the awning (Aux Vieux Garcons) but I understand the name changed recently. I ordered the lamb shank and it was very tasty. Crispy on the outside but moist and tender on the inside. The au jus, on the side, was very salty. I never did... More

Had lunch here and we were well pleased with the quality of the food. Could not ask for better mid day meal. Good service. Sorta small place but comfortable. Rate it a B-

FYI - This restaurant may also be listed as Aux Vieux Garcons. Either way it's worth a stop and a good meal. We popped in on an early Sunday evening, so we didn't consider needing a reservation. We had great wine and delish food. Would love to visit again and try more menu selections next time in Paris.

My wife and I ate lunch there one day last week. I started with a herring appetizer which was very good then I had a cod dish that was not my favorite. I probably ordered the wrong thing. My wife had an excellent large salad. We loved the waiter and the sidewalk seating was perfect for people watching. I recommend... More

At 8 o'clock on a Saturday night the restaurant was empty. French Maitre'D s come in two types - unctuous or melancholic. Here was the latter. However I recognised the two waitresses - not for themselves but as a continuation of a tradition. Maybe their grandmothers had worked here forty years ago. And that is the point of this restaurant.... More

Was recommended this but were disappointed. The service was average and tired. The steak was tough and not altogether that tasty. Great location and should have excelled. Would give them another go next time as our experience did not match the reviews our our recommendation.

This was our hotel's second recommendation (Hotel Saint Germain 88 Rue de Bac - a 3 star hotel which punches above its weight). The first was great but I think they got their order wrong. We had a party of four including two first time Parisian diners who were keen to try some French Specialties. So escargots and Fois Gras... More

Please see my review of Aux Vieux Garcons. The name was changed in January. The food is excellent, as is the service with some specialties not found elsewhere.

We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. this place has a good ratings on Tripadvisor, and the menu looked alright. We had wonderful food and wine, the menu was 19 euros each (first+main or main+dessert) and a glass of wine was 5-7 euros. the dishes are quite big. they also serve bread (as almost any restaurant in paris does).... Great liitle restaurant, superb food and very friendly owner. He amused my kids with magic tricks and was very pleased to chat with us. Wine, bread, appetizers (entrees in French) , main courses (entrees in English) and deserts were superb. Decoration was particular interesting. I was intrigued with an old large poster of the 1899 Exposition Universelle in Paris and... More
