Had a kabob of various seafood which hung over a bed of rice and veg. Quite good. Nice wine choices and very reasonable. Check out all the chairs on the walls! I come back here every year.

We stumbled upon this place in the Ile St Louis after visiting the Jardin des Plantes. The prices are very reasonable and the food was so good that we came back a second time. Especially enjoyed the crusted goat cheese and the beef bourguignon.

We happened to find Auberge de la Reine Blanche by accident. They were not yet open (6:30) but came across 2 other (separate) couples trying to eat here. 1 couple had a glowing review from travelers at their hotel. So we waited. It was worth the wait. The onion soup was the best I have have had. The bread was... More

I've eaten here twice over the years. It's b*gger to find, but when you do, you'll want to remember where it is. In my view there is no better choice than the onion soup and beef bourgignon. It's the kind of place I'd expect Rick Stein to go to on one of his weekend jaunts. But secretly I hope he... More

The food here is absolutely fantastic. If you want an evening of well done traditional French cuisine, this is definitely the place to go. I had the Beef Bourginon and my husband had the chicken skewer. Both of the dishes were absolutely fantastic. The beef was so tender and my husband really enjoyed trying out the three different mustards with... More

The beef bourguignon and the coq au vin were superb...each served in its own cast iron container that kept it wonderful and warm. The vegetables in each were not overcooked and the meat was tender. The wine list is not large but the ambience and food compensate for this little gem.

We had dinner at this restaurant located on the Île St Louis two nights in a row. Once as a couple and the next with friends. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was good and the service attentive. They have menus for 21or 25 €. The latter included an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. I really liked the... More

We stayed in a flat above this restaurant and felt that duty demanded we go in. It was really excellent. Our daughter-in-law was determined to at least try snails, and quite enjoyed them (as much as anyone can enjoy them). The waitress and owner were really friendly and chatted while serving so that it was almost like dining with friends.... More

Hi TA community. My wife and I are both retired teachers from San Diego and have been staying on ile st. louis for a month and a half now....8 days to go. We have about 4 or 5 "go to" places here and nearby....but, decided to try something close (didn't want to walk in the 95 degree heat)...This is a... More

Small local French restaurant, very good food and nice ambiance. We stayed on the Ile-de-St.-Louis and loved the neighborhood and eating locally. Coq au Vin was amazing. Good service.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
