This rude person at the restaurant in the picture who wouldn’t look at my camera, gave away our table that we reserved several ways to make sure we got a table, as we had guests from America: 1) we visited the same day to confirm...More
My son and I spent our last evening in Paris here and oh what a delight. Warm, friendly, cozy (I’m running out of adjectives) dinning experience. French classic bistro selections prepared in a way that one dreams of. I had the escargot and the Steak...More
WE want to eat on the Ille St Louis and found this to be a good value. This is a charming little place (construction scaffolding on the church across the street) an the service was great. The menu was good and the food was wonderful.
My good friend who comes to Paris often....recommended this restaurant. There were four of us...and we loved all of our meals. The restaurant is small...which we loved...and the staff was very warm and welcoming.
Just book here.....your safe.....I promise...food was delicious!
As a restaurant recommended by Rick Steves, we wanted to give Auberge de la Reine Blanche a try before leaving Paris. We made a reservation in advance as it was a Saturday night, however I’m not sure if one was required. To our surprise, it...More
My son and I were in Paris for the weekend and he expressed a craving for Coc au Vin, which believe it or not, is not that easy to find in Paris. We asked the receptionist at our hotel and she recommended the Auberge de...More
We had just checked into our hotel after a train trip from Normandy and a harrowing ride from Gare St. Lazare in rush hour! It was early and the cafes were just re-opening for dinner. We tried this café because I saw a mention of...More

Wonderful experience. Just happened upon this gem and were lucky to get the last table. Great meal and also really enjoyed the rustic French ambience. Good choice on the menu so all 4 of us easily found a meal we enjoyed.
We had been to the Reine Blanche back in 2008.
Here we are in 2018 staying on L'ile wondering if it is still open. Sure enough it is open and not much has changed.
Best part, it is the same owner/waiter. When something works do...More
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
