This is a very expensive restaurant but is well worth it. The food is amazing and beautifully presented. It is very old fashioned and traditional but if you want an experience that is typically French this is the place to go.

Restaurant staff very attentive from start to finish. I loved that they recommended a wine that they felt was to our liking rather that the most expensive on the menu. The Maître de was especially attentive and made us feel very welcome . I fully recommend this place well worth a visit you will not be be disappointed.

The restaurant is beautiful and worth a visit to admire the decor alone. We were disappointed that despite having booked months in advance, and having reconfirmed the day prior to our reservation, the staff did not inform us that their full tasting menu (shown on their website, including on the day of our visit) would not be available during our... This is a good choice if you try to eat light in a very nice environment. Both the service and the food are good but I found that the fillet de boeuf was really tiny and the price of 43 euros for 3 small bites was exaggerated...

The restaurant is beautiful, food is yummy and sophisticated and the Champagne was delicious! I would certainly recommend the place!

As the name suggests, this building was built in 1728 & after being occupied by different businesses it has been returned to its original look & one can easily imagine the way it was then. It has 3 salons, all with great ambiance, and makes the dining experience more romantic. The maître D took very good care of us &... More

We had an unusual recommendation to this restaurant. While dining at the Kauai Grill in Princeville, the Maitre D' (William) informed us that he had worked at 1728 and recommended that we ask for table 24 (minimum 4 guests) in the Lafayette Room. Our trip was a spur of the moment decision and we were lucky enough to get reservations... More

The definitive place to experience a truly romantic dinner with your loved one. Located in a classic French building nearby the Senna and the Champs-Elysees, the restaurant features an antique decoration coupled with a modern sense of space, light and proportions - perfect to create an intimate environment. Right from the moment you climb the entrance stairs you're greeted by... More

I was looking to take my wife out to a nice restaurant, but I also wanted a classic/beautiful setting, and I was very happy. Staff were very welcoming, took us to the middle room, antique room type setting. We chose the degustation with matching wines. It was 5 stars for me a great night, lovely food, wine and service to... More
