Although there aren't many English speakers in this establishment, you shouldn't have too much trouble enjoying your experience. You'll find at least on staff person who can help break down a few menu items - and you won't be dissapointed! My wife and I both had great cooked dishes, I imagine anything they serve would be great.

I just left this little and lovely place; the food was very nice, although I just ate a cold cuts platter. My friend found her cooked dish very tasty as well! Yes, english is, of course, not their first language, however we have been served by a very sweet waiter speaking a clear english, which helped us to understand the... More

This is a largeish establishment in a corner street behind Montmartre, which has somehow managed to remain true to its roots as a neighbourhood bistrot. The decor is not particularly new, and there is a bunch of cheerful drunks propping up the bar. The dining room is largely reserved for someone's private birthday party to which guests are coming in... More

Lunched here after visiting Montmartre - a bit of a walk from the top of the hill (1km) but worth it to avoid the rip off prices in Place du Tertre and experience a typical french workers restaurant. Good food at a modest price. (€50 for 3 couse meal with wine for 2) Formica tables and menu on a blackboard... More

We ate lunch here again. Lunchtime is probably the best time to come. Starters at €3.50 and main courses at €9 make this traditional Montmartres brasserie one of my favourite brasseries. Gets very busy between 12:00noon and 14:00. Large tables which sometime require people to share a table with other parties. Waitresses work hard and are kept busy, so service... More

My husband and I ate here twice during our stay in Paris and it was by far our favorite place in the 18th arrondissement. The atmosphere and food was wonderful and the service was very friendly and unpretentious. Their prices are also very reasonable. We were surrounded by locals and felt like we were miles away from the nearest tourist.... More

My boyfriend has been wanting to take me here for ages but we always seem to pass by on Sunday, and never seem to learn from our mistake. In any case we went on a Saturday and found it packed and bustling. Accustomed to this, our hosts sat us at a cafe table outside and within 15 minutes found us... More

I had a black pudding dish and my boyfriend duck and we were both blown away, a lovely traditional eatery which exceeded all expectations. Exceptional value for money and a gorgeous ambiance.

This place is awesome value, and the staff were very helpful despite being very busy. The goose rilette was one of the best things I ate in Paris, and was incredibly good value (6eu as part of a small charcuterie board). Mains were 8.50, starters 3.50, so very reasonably priced.

Good French classic bistrot food, friendly service and affordable meal. A little weak on the wines, but a nice terrasse during the summer

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
