CLAMATO, PARIS Has this foodie-gypsy vibe with absolutely the best salty Maldon oysters, and house wine you’ve never heard of that makes you feel like a 1970’s Parisian. The seafood is priced right and plentiful. Bring an empty stomach and a good bit of time,...as you will be here for a while. The service is excellent, and the staff is passionate food evangelists. Not to miss; Cod fritters with Wankaina sauce.More

Very good food but air conditioning didn't work though maids said it did... the atmosphere was terrible. A proper hell !

Over priced, over rated, disappointed. We’d heard great things however was disappointed from the get go. Staff were a bit pompous and we had paid including a tip and were asked to leave the table and finish our glass of wine at the bar. Felt...rushed out of the place after an expensive meal: the winter salad is basically cabbage leaves with fish food sprinkled on top. Fried monkfish was like fried fish with slaw that you can get anywhere. The black mullet was delicious but expected a little more fish on the plate.More

Don't be fooled by its larger brother Septime, this is high quality food, but certainly nothing outstanding. The seafood is really fresh and delicious. We had a Riesling 'grande soif' to accompany it, which was fairly priced. Of course you get 6 oysters if you...order them, but the portions of less exquisite food are comparatively small. They recommend 4-6 dishes for two people. The atmosphere is relax. Sadly, there is no dish I can especially recommend, all are good but none really made a lasting impression. If you force me, the sea urchin was nice.More

Really enjoyed this small and quite overcrowded restaurant. All the food was excellent (as long as you enjoy seafood). Quite noisy and full of people but in a friendly way and where the staff felt well prepared to deal with it.

I read about this restaurant in many guides and blog and I was very interested to try it. I read everywhere that they run a no reservation code; so I thought the policy was “first come first sit” and I was prepared also to wait...for a table. We two arrived friday night at 8:30. Even if there were tables free, a girl said me there was a “waiting list” and that the first table was at 10:30. I tried to explane her that if I heard about that, I could come at 7:30 and place me in the list, but she said in unfair rude mode if I was able to understand that first table was at 10:30. So we tried again on Saturday at 8 but another list and first table at 9:30. Also this time there were at least 3 tables for two free. I booked and I left my number. They called me at 9:42 but we decided non to go. Very disappointed about this no reservation policy but waiting list and calls. It’s really the same but only for some customers? So finally don’t go! They must understand to be serious with customers.More

I love that they're open throughout the day. I strategically stayed at a hotel nearby just to be close to this place. Normally I go to different places since I don't get much time in Paris but this has been an easy repeat. The tiradito...and chinchard were delicious. I should've gotten another round. The seafood hotdog was just okay, you get it for the novelty, but the bread and slight deep fry just mask the seafood. I asked for a coaster as a souvenir. The servers were lovely. I even remember one of them from the first time in 2015. Will return again.More

WOW. One of our favorite meals while in Paris. We walked into a busy and stifling hot restaurant, but we were seated immediately at the bar and once the food started coming, we forgot about the heat. The deviled eggs were my favorite ever. And...that is saying a lot! Oysters were fresh and delicious, although I missed some horseradish. Bread with the chili butter was divine. But the CLAMS. Oh, I could melt in a pot of those. And the piece of bread they put in the bottom to soak up the sauce....one of the greatest things I have ever put in my mouth. So delicious. The Jerusalem Sunchokes were also very tasty, as was the maple tart for dessert. Overall a wonderful night with great service and a great bottle of wine. Highly recommended.More

They change the menu frequently (maybe daily) but I went about a week ago and they had several salad/vegetable dishes. Some had some type of fish but I imagine that could easily be left out. It shouldn't be a problem. I have... More
