Stopped after tour of Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. Cold January day and the Hot Chocolate and apple tart we had here absolutely hit the spot. Cozy coffee shop perfect for bite to eat and rest up before continuing on rest of tour.
Tiny little coffee shop which appear to be popular with local and tourists alike. Barista/owner was welcoming and friendly. Family with young children, both older and younger locals and tourists doing Montmartre all there on the day we visited.
Breakfast in Paris typically consists of croissants and pain au chocolat, but I was craving eggs and Cafe Tabac did not disappoint. The soft, creamy, steamed(!) scrambled eggs were simply divine...they were so good that my husband ordered some after he tried mine. The coffee...was not only delicious, but beautiful too. As others have noted, this is a small cafe with only a few tables (probably seats a maximum of 20 people), but it's definitely worth the wait. We'll definitely be stopping back here on our next trip to Paris.More
We went as a family of 6 this morning and unfortunately needed to look elsewhere :-(
This place seems to only have a few tables for 2, a table for 4 and bench counter facing the street. Shame because it looks quite nice!
Le Cafe Tabac is a small place to get excellent espresso, coffee, breakfast...and a little bite through the day. All fresh, from friendly people - and very reasonably priced!
A bit of outside seating is available as well.
So if you are in the Montmatre...area: make sure to visit!More
