Make a reservation because it is a very busy place. You are explained the menu, and the people is taking care of you. You are cherished as a customer. If you aren't sure about a dish or a vine personnel takes time to explain and suggest. Very good vine cave and the food is prepared with top quality ingredients and... More

We had a delightful lunch. This is a truly amazing Croque Monsieur - not too much cheese, great bread and ham - awesome sandwich. And the dark chocolate sorbet is to die for.

Overall this was our best meal in Paris. The vibe was relaxed and friendly, the menu was varied and everything we ordered was delicious. It's totally unpretentious but really delivers. We'll definitely put this on the "return to" list.

My wife and I were in Paris for a long December weekend meeting Swiss friends and staying in the 6th District, a fine residential area on the Left Bank replete with with lovely neighborhood restaurants supported by locals and largely devoid of tourists. We had understood that it was impossible to get a bad meal there, and we found this... More

We simply wanted to rest our tired legs and enjoy a quiet drink and were glad to find this bar. Nothing special, but an efficient waiter and good prices

We went for dinner, but not being very hungry, we only ordered mains. We went for fish and squid and both were amazing. The squid wasn't chewy, instead had a delicate buttery texture and the squid ink rice still had bite. The daurade had the right firmness, and the accompanying pesto and pine nuts matched perfectly. And this was washed... More

Modern and stylish food, still close to french tradition and using excellent products. Not cheap but great quality comes with a price. a great modern / not so modern bistrot with value and consistency. We love it - excellent ris de veau. Go for the white Savennieres wine if you are not comfortable with natural wines

Invited by some friends, I went to this simple and...so nice bistrot...I arrived early and was imediatelly greated with a glass of white wine when waiting for my friends. Afterwards, the food was simply delicious, the kind you are ever tired of and beautifully cooked. Proper, generous and season products. Everything served in a very casual good mood. Great

Busy, popular bar - especially on weekends! May take you a while to get served but the ambience and buzzy vibe makes it worth a visit.

An imaginative menu with friendly attentive and fast service. The place was constantly full- says a lot for its reputation. Good value. Tasty ravioles de langoustine. Excellent ris de veau - not so sure that I was so happy with the beetroot accompanyment, but my wife's steak tartare flavored with ginger and basil, was superb. Delicious tarts for desert and... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
