Traditional French meal that was good but not amazing. Menu was very limited and did not accommodate dietary restrictions. I let the server know that I was pescatarian and all of the appetizers contained meat…. I assumed they would have vegetarian options but they did not. My son asked to have the beef “without the shaved truffles” but the server said they could not accommodate this request and insisted on serving the beef with the shaved truffles on top (would have been very easy and less wasteful to leave them off ??). There was only one white wine available by the glass, which I found really surprising. Decent but not worth a stop given so many other options in this area.

The restaurant was great, recommended to us by several locals upon our arrival in Paris, 7em near Rue Cler and Champ de Mars streets about 2 blocks from our Champ de Mars Hotel. The food was great, the two servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We began with a few glasses of champagne and then proceeded to order a few other reds from their glass selection.

Chef Thierry Dufroux and the staff took me on a wonderful experience of French cuisine. At this point I returned twice. I am also a Chef, and I can say that I have recognized the perfection of culinary technique. For example, scallops are not easy to cook and the proof is that you are good at cooking. , it was the perfection of the rules in the kitchen, perfect cooking, flavor, color, temperature and presentation of the dish. We want to talk about the soffle, and the icing on the cake. I loved her. My friends, you love or hate cuisine, you must understand that today's chef gives his best in today's dish he makes. Greetings dearest chef Thierry, never change and remember that you are a source of inspiration for other generations to come.

This bistro has kept its authentic setting, and the menu gives pride of place to Basque dishes. Essentially foreign customers, who must find what they are looking for in this appearance. But, we were rather disappointed by the cuisine. Either lack of flavor, or very ordinary (desserts), or limited portions; a dish or two changed the average. And a high price, for this disparate quality. Very kind service, even full of humor.

We happened thanks to a suggestion. We had no particular expectations. Welcoming environment, hospitable host and attentive to different needs. Dishes presented in an innovative way respecting the taste of tradition and without disappointing the palate. We will definitely return if we are back in Paris and recommend to friends and family.

We decided to give this Bistrot a try, based on all the reviews, We were quite disappointed. It is a two course meal. They charged extra for the foie grass, we were told up front. So, because of the high price( (an additional 9 euros) , I expected amazing and got mediocre. Very weak. I ordered the Filet (also additional cost (14 extra euros added to the bill) The meat was so tough I could not eat it. My husband ordered the duck, so I switched plates with him. The duck was good. The mashed potatoes were good. I will not go back.

Great spot in the 7th district of Paris, not that far from the Eiffel Tower. Warm welcome and cosy place. Nice menu with South West specialty, and pairing wine. The foie gras was absolutely delicious. We had the filet of beef Rossini style with great truffled potatoes. The wine is a little pricy for the quantity served but overall, it was a good experience

As a prelude to a Rhone Cruise with friends, we visited Paris for five days in October 2021. We asked Francoise at Hotel Champ de Mars for a dinner recommendation and she suggested Bistrot Belhara -- a small restaurant only a couple blocks from our hotel in the Rue Cler area. The restaurant was not crowded because the Covid pandemic was still with us. They checked our vaccine cards. We ate at 7pm and only one other group was dining there at the time. It was perhaps the best meal I’ve ever had in Paris, and I’ve visited over a dozen times. I was concerned that I’d be bombarded with questions because I was the only French speaker in our group of five Americans. The waiter couldn’t have handled it better. He suggested we have a “surprise” dinner, where he would make all the decisions. All we had to do was pick the number of courses. It’s been several months since our visit, so I don’t remember everything we ate. But the main dish was some kind of beef which had been simmering many hours. It was sooo delicious and tender! And there was an amazing celery soup that was presented beautifully. Everyone in our group agreed it was the best meal of our trip. Bistrot Belhara is at the top of our list for our next visit. I just hope it’s not too crowded next time.

Little cute and romantic neighbourhood restaurant. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. The menu choice very well balanced amongst entrees and plats with interesting twists of ingredients. Average prices considering the area.

We looked the restaurant up on trip adviser and thought it had a good rating but were extremely disappointed. I would not recommend the food here. There are much better restaurants all over Paris. It was well over priced with tiny portions and the food was only average at best.

One of the best meals I had on my short trip to France, I can’t speak highly enough about this place. First, the ambiance is cozy but elegant, and secondly the servers are so very helpful, friendly and attentive. I ordered the Spirit Of Basque food tasting in four courses and , was delighted- next time I’d have gotten the 5 course option had I known how good it was. The menu is seasonal and rotates but everything was top notch. The desert, some very thinly sliced basque sheep’s cheese and cherry compote- was a surprisingly delicious delight.- excellent food, excellent service and excellent wine: While I can’t comment on substitutions etc. addressing the reviewer complaining about meeting dietary requirements: France isn’t the country to be asking for that… all I got tot say in that.

We wanted to find some authentic French cooking and we found it at Bistrot Belhara. To be honest, there were not so many dinner menu choices and the humorous waiter steered us to what he thought we would like, so we gave up trying to choose and just went with it! However, our initial nervousness was unfounded and we really enjoyed the freshly cooked dishes, in particular the mint soufle which was delicious, atmosphere friendly and the service was great.

Took my daughter here for her 13th birthday, but likely best for a couple or a small group of friends who like to converse quietly with dinner. But even my young teen could appreciate the high quality classic French cuisine. Heads above your typical tourist fare. Cozy dinning space with around 10 tables I believe. We shared their large seafood specialty - so good! Wonderful soufflé for dessert.
