I’ve been to the restaurant with two friends of mine, we waited for quite long in the queue to get into the place but the food and the service were well-worth for the time spent. We ordered onion soup which was delicious and some dessert that I don’t remember the name now, but we were so well treated by one the staff member called Maxim, he was really helpful explaining about the selection of desserts, everything in English because our french is a bit crap. I would like to congratulate him for the good service delivered and the restaurant for the delightful place/food.

We had a very late dinner, most people had cakes and desserts, and I regret I hadn't room for that afterwards. Dinner was very good and very nicely presented, I had a chicken pie, with a rich sauce poured over by the waitress. We were both very pleased with the meal, but were seated next to the clearing table, so it was a bit noisy and busy. You should try to get a window table.

It was an average experience, the staff is very rushed and no explanation. I went on a Saturday around 2pm, there was a small queue (7 minutes). As it was my first time, I checked the prices at the main door, but on my turn I tried to order a box of 4 macarons and she said the minimum was 6 (she just repeats it many times: how many? how many?). I didn't quite understand so I ordered the box with 6 in a pink box. I thought it would be 16 euros, but the cashier charged me 18.61. This store is very small and cramped, but very pretty. There is a restaurant space, but it's very crowded and a long line, I didn't go there. The noodles are very good, delicious. Worth the experience. The box and the bag are pretty nice, keep it as a souvenir.

Dear Luiz Eduardo M,
Thank you for taking your time to share your feedback on Ladurée Cahmps-Elsyées.
You can of course buy our macarons by piece in a small papier bag if it is for less than 5 macarons, but if you want a box, the smallest box of macarons that we have is the one for 6 pieces.
But if our staff misunderstood what you wanted, we sincerely apologize for this.
It will be a great pleasure to welcome you back again shortly in the clouds.

Went for breakfast at Champs Elysee. Ordered 2 breakfasts and 1 bowl fresh fruit (which did not arrive). The bill came and they had added 1€ for small cold milk for our tea and 2.6€ for 2 teaspoons of jam (which we asked for with our croissants). Neither seemed unreasonable requests! I queried these addition charges and also a 15% “dont service compris” to be informed by the manager or senior person that this was normal for Laduree and in France and the rest of the world (apart from UK) it is normal to charge extra for milk for tea! That’s was my first time in over 40 yrs of travelling the globe. The manager also tried to explain the service compris was a local sales tax which it clearly isn’t! Overall extremely poor, the cafe is certainly beautiful however pricing is poor. The manager said that 1600 per day pay €1 extra to have milk with their tea!!! Typical tourists. To be honest would be better for them to increase price of tea and croissant to include for milk and jam. And that way I would never have queried. As I said AVOID and visit a traditional French cafe.

My experience today at la durée was extremely disappointing. When i was first assigned a seat, no one even bothered to take my order for at least 15 mins knowing that i asked several waiters to help me. I then got a brunch from the menu, that got really messed up with : instead of the 2 croissants they only got me one, they got me pain perdu (that comes with ice cream) before my egg benedict that arrived later on 15 mins late, i asked for water that I didn’t even get. I also had to practically beg for forks, spoons, and plates. Even the macarons that come with it didnt even show up until i had to talk to the manager about how bad the service was.
Shame.

This desert and tea haven is like a trip into another world. It’s old school charm of retro furnishings and attentive waiters makes you feel special while those amazing macaroons are exquisite. The different types of teas and infusions are delightful and the whole experience is a must. Paris is not only about sight seeing.... it’s also about taking the time to soak in the atmosphere while resting your tired feet. Well worth it.

Stopped off here for a drink late afternoon on a Monday. We queued for about 20 minutes for the outdoor terrace which made no sense given there were plenty of empty tables, some were even set and ready to go so it seems they intentionally want people to queue.
When we were finally seated the service was curt at best, more so, just rude. The prices are absolutely ridiculous as well. I’ve no problem paying what they want to charge for anything homemade but 8 euros for a Coca Cola which is the same the world over, in my opinion, is crazy.
My recommendation would be to visit the takeaway counter, the macarons are exceptional (if I were reviewing just these it would be a 5/5). There is nothing to be gained by eating in as you’ll be left feeling, as we did, that you’ve paid a premium to be an inconvenience.
It seems most other people that have recently reviewed this Laduree feel the same, hopefully they read these comments and make some changes for the better.

If you're coming here for breakfast you already know it will be pricey but the ambience, the food quality are quite worth it. Everything starting from the decor, location, cutlery is special and the food is very tasty. They make great omlettes, pastries and have wonderful teas. The service was a little lacking because they kept forgetting things we ordered and at the end never brought a macaron we asked for but it wasn't even on the pill so it just slipped. Also forgot to bring the gluten free bread so had to request it again and the second tea too. Otherwise, highly recommend!

We waited an hour to get in, then we came back and got refused entry, despite there being no one else in the queue. This was before the closing time of 10pm, they didn’t’t try to accommodate us. We had a disabled child who wanted to come here for his birthday treat and we spoke to Nicholas and explained the situation who wasn’t interested in trying to accommodate us who even though we had travelled all the way from the UK, and was desperate to celebrate his birthday in Ladurée. However, Pierre Hermé (across the road) we’re very accommodating to help celebrate our son/nephew’s birthday.

Dear S803BJas,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Our restaurant at Ladurée Champs Elysées closes its door at 09:30 pm and we cannot accomodate people after 09:00 pm to let each of our customers have time to benefit of the best experience.
It seems however that there was a communication problem as you thought that our closing time was 10:00 pm. Our restaurant manager has reviewed this with the team to be more helpful on this point.
We hope to have the chance to welcome you again on your next trip to Paris to offer you the best Ladurée experience.
Kind Regards
Brahim Y.

Have the Isphahan pastry and you won't regret it . It's a large dark pink macaroon layered with raspberries and filled on the inside with rose flavoured filling and in the core there are some lychee pieces too. Gosh the flavours keep coming for 6 to 10 seconds after you have put in your mouth. It's absolutely worth dying for ...and certainly worth queuing for . Go for tea menu available after 3 , you get a lot of things for around 40 euros .

waited 45 minutes . when food came they did not come altogether, had to ask for spinach salad 3 times .
The onion soup was tasteless and the afternoon tea was an absolute disappointment! The sandwiches were hard and they were stale!
overall the experience was a no-no
Nice surroundings but service needs to be addressed! complaints were not dealt with and the waiters did not seem to know what they were doing!
Tables were empty however we still had to wait 45 minutes!
The toilets were confusing, entered mens, no obvious signage!
Only come if you just want to look around
Do not eat here…. diabolical!

I have been going to La Durée for 20 years and look forward to it every time I visit Paris. While I’ve had a variety of experiences, my last visit was horrible and I am so disappointed in every way. I made a reservation for 2 people inside and when I arrived, was asked to sit in the door way. We asked for a a place where we wouldn’t be hit by the door and the only place was the terrace. It was nice weather, so we took the table. We waited 35 minutes for someone to come over and they finally gave us the online menu.
It was another 20 minutes and when we ordered, they said they were out of the Marie Antoinette cake ( should have told us). So we waited another 15 minutes and finally ordered: Blanc eggs, tea, a la durée breakfast and a mini chocolate croissant. We waited about 25 more minutes and received our drinks. Then I received my eggs but not the bread that was part of it. I wanted to wait for my partner to get their food, so another 15 minutes they got their croissant. My eggs were cold. We ate but never received the mini croissant. I told the waitress and she said okay and did not care. We asked for the check & I went to the bathroom and through the line inside (about 10 minutes - very disorganized) and even went to the shop (the shop was good). About a total of 30 minutes after I left, my partner just received the check and it contained the food we ordered and didn’t receive. We told them and she said we would have to wait for them to change it. We waited another 10 minutes for them to correct the order and paid. The food was sub-par, hot food was cold, and we were there for almost 2 hours. The service was the worst I’ve ever received in my life. Really! The workers enjoy treating people like crap and try to scam the customers. I am a brand loyalist and it pains me to write this, as La Durée was an incredibly special place for me. Now it is just a place to avoid and a sad, bad memory.

My husband and I stopped here after cycling around Paris all day and the fact that only desert is available was perfect for us. The tea was great and my husband had pistachio ice cream whilst I had lemon meringue tart. Delicious desserts and lovely silver crockery. The service was attentive and staff were helpful. Nice macaroons too.

Following what had been the perfect day in Paris with my partner, we decided to queue for Laduree in the hopes of some exquisite French patisserie. We were left to queue for well over an hour with no communication regarding how long this may take which we were willing to bypass however, upon ordering the waiter was extremely rude despite our efforts to speak French and did not bring us our full order. The macaroons and patisseries themself were okay at best (although I will give them credit for their mojitos!). Following the conclusion of our meal, I paid and was ready to leave when I was informed this had not gone through and I needed to pay again. The waiter and manager (Mr. Chardin) refused to believe the money had been taken from my account and pestered me to provide proof which I did and even then they informed me there was nothing they could do and I needed to pay again. I did not feel comfortable to dispute this due to the manner in which the staff treated me and therefore paid again however as I first thought, I have been charged twice. Would avoid going here at all costs as the food is overpriced, the service is horrendous and they might just ruin your day in beautiful Paris!

45 minutes waiting in line even though we saw at least 7 empty tables. The staff was too slow and lazy to clean the tables. After we finally went inside to be seated, we waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order only to find out then that there is no more croissants. Wasted 60 minutes and ruined our morning because of their arrogance. Never again!
