We had a great experience in Poulette, the waiter was super helpful and kind with us. I can’t remember his name but he was Mexican-French. Thank you very much for such a lovely service.
We really loved the food 😍
It may not be fair to fault an otherwise good restaurant for a lack of energy, either because of the mix of the crowd (too many Americans – like us!) or too few covers. After all, the impact of saying so may be to worsen...the problem, not correct it. Surely, the owners must agree. But it is what it is. There is so much more to a good restaurant experience than just good food.
Poulette has good food (and abundant portions). Ironically, it may have suffered from a recent well-known American expatriate food blogger writing that it is the prettiest restaurant in Paris (it isn’t, not close), but it has a lovely period tile wall which may or may not be original. It has attentive, helpful service appropriate to a small, personal restaurant. It isn’t aiming for Michelin stars. And it was a Monday night. All of that said, and wishing we could say more because of so many likeable elements, it lacked any edge whatsoever.
Very good. Small menu. Three entrees, five plats. Cocktails. Desserts. Nice octopus plat and small hangar steak with frites. Starters of warm leeks and tiny clams in bouillon with Thai chives (enough for 2, easily). Both excellent.
Two front of the house did dishes, wine, served, cleared. Helpful. Low-key. Bi-lingual.
141€ for 2, with 45€ wine. Fair.More
We were walking from our hotel to the Siene and started to get hungry. I had already had this spot pinned on trip adviser so we popped in for a quick bite. We ordered the lunch special which included a soup, steak with fries and...salad. We also ordered another starter of duck rillette. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was lovely. The food was really good and very well priced. Not overwhelmingly delicious, but everything combined - cost, quality of food, fantastic service, beautiful restaurant - completely worth it.More
Lovely small eaterie - hence best to book. Great for the classic steak or duck, very good quality for a reasonable price. Not too touristy, used by Parisians themselves which is always a good sign in my book. Expect around £30-40 per head for 3...courses with wine.More
This restaurant gives a great vibe and service from the waitress.
The food was really lovely but could have been warmer, never the less it was worth it.
I definitely suggest this restaurant for a date or intimate dinner.
This is our second visit in 5 years and it was so good the first time we came back again. We even had the same meal! Steak, fries, salad and wine. Yum. And we tried the baby clams appetizer - perfect! But the service and...ambiance is the best. This is such a pretty place inside and the location cannot be beat. We went to Centre Pompidou, then walked a block or two and arrived here for dinner. Viola!More
Great atmosphere and architecture for this restaurant... two services, a bit loud but it is really an excellent experience... first cocktails and cocktail maker are great, you can wait your table at the bar very nice team ...
Restaurant is also excellent with great meal,...vegan or with meat or fish you have the choice with fresh food very tasty and lot of original flavor... desserts are perfect too... i advise the brownie you will be surprised by the chantilly and by the madeleine ... excellent....
Wine and alcohol perfect too.... not so much choices, but excellent...
Very nice experienceMore
We went to Poulette at 9:10pm on a Monday and waited a short while for two seats at the bar. The restaurant is small but not too loud and has an intimate yet welcoming vibe. The food was super tasty! We had a fig and...goat cheese appetizer and both had steak frites for dinner. All was great. We can’t wait to go back! Great service.More
Was a rainy night and we only really picked it because it was across from our apartment - but it’s been my favourite meal of my trip to Paris so far!! For entree we tried the pulled duck rillette and the razor clams - both...as good as each other! The pork belly was delicious and the chocolate brownie was the best I have had EVER! The wait staff are attentive and wonderful. What a pleasure to eat there. Even my 2 children (10 & 14) enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you.More
