I spent about 3 hours here, first drinks with friends and then coffee and finally decided to eat dinner as well. Service was prompt and pleasant. 5 euros for a bottle of Heineken is quite reasonable. I had a grilled salmon and vegetables that were quite good and nice sized proportions for 16 euros. It is in a beautiful hidden... More

Got entrecote sashimi and salmon/avocado rools. All was good but not great. I ate outside on the terrace with a nice view on the square. Service was ok. They have a gaz heating on the terrace which was appreciated at this season :-).

Situated in a little square in the Marais, Aomori is a small restaurant with a terraced area outside which is perfect for a balmy summer evening's Japanese food. The Gyoza starter was excellent, not mushy or rubbery as sometimes is the case. The Sushi was excellent, fresh and tasty. The only let down - the beers weren't all that cold,... More

Smelly, dirty and very poor quality. It's a Japanese restaurant run by Chinese. My tuna tartare was almost only rice, the sushi rolls tasted disgusting. I didn't feel like proceeding to the desserts. Save your money, go somewhere else.

The food is simply brilliant and it's located in a beautiful little square. The Gyoza are the best I've ever had in my life.

This restaurant is located in a nice but touristy square in the Marais with a few restaurants that offer mostly mediocre french fare. The advantage of these places on the square is outdoor seating, which is why we went there - we being two couples who live in Paris. It was a balmy Friday night and many others had the... More

Located in the corner of a very nice little square with a couple of other restaurants, you will escape the traffic. Friendly service, with food that is very tasty. Japanese "ravioli" and fresh sashimi particularly nice. We also had duck and trio of fish which was very good. Reasonable cost, including good value fixed menu options. Name appears to be... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
