I have had such a great lunch in a long time. The English level of the owner is basic but he knows how to make you feel welcome. He apologized for 'being brutal' when he arrived with an awesome white wine and a plate of prosciutto to take our order. The menu is a starter, main course desert and includes... More

If you're in Paris and want the real French cuisine experience like a true Parisian, then you must stop by La Table d'Adrien! The place is really elegant while still keeping the "local" bistrot feel. The owners are a wonderful couple who will serve you superb food (try the Fois gras!) and gladly give you advice on what to do/see... More

Superb bistro style restaurant with very limited menu. But no matter, the food and wine here are exceptional. Very friendly welcome and a really nice atmosphere. Of course we had the Foie Gras to start which was really very special. The main course was a choice of meat or fish. I had the meat which was a mixture of steak,... More

I had dinner at La Table d'Adrien last night with 3 friends. The starter was a magnificent foie gras 'mixt': one slice cold and one slice hot lying on a 'pain d'epice' (ginger bread) toast. The seasoning was superb. The size of the portion was absolutely impressive. Then I chose a 'trilogie de viande' with beef filet, kidneys and duck... More

I was on a business trip in Paris and decided to go for lunch by my hotel at La Table d'Adrien. I was immediately convinced by the menu and typical red and white table clothes. The owner greated us with a 'how have you heard of us?'. He explained that most of his clientele are 'habitues'. He came up with... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
