DH and I were on the mission to find the best croissant in Paris and this bakery won! We were so sad to hear that they were going to be closed towards the end of our trip. If you want a great croissant and pain...au chocolat, you need to go here.More

After lots of research to find the best croissants in Paris, we came to Ble Sucre to try their regular croissants. We arrived later in the day, so they were sadly sold out. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I had...the best pain au chocolat I’ve ever tasted in lieu of the regular croissants. It was perfectly flaky, the chocolate was high quality and it was not too sweet - perfect with an espresso. We also tasted their apricot tart which was delicious as well. I would come here often if I could.More

Blé sucré was our favorite bakery in Paris for many years. Especially because of the wonderful croissants. We often rented airbnb apartments nearby (especially because of the Marché d'Aligre), but even when we stayed in a hotel, we would go to the "Square Trousseau" restaurant...for breakfast because they also had the croissants from Blé sucré. We were – after a long break caused by the Covid crisis – at Easter again in Paris and had the impression that the croissants were no longer the same as before ... Now at Whitsun the second empirical verification: No, long not as good and unique as before. (The "baguettes bien cuites" are still very good, yes but something is different in the meantime - a different recipe, new bakers, new owners ...?) I happened to discover a review of 2020 (in French) with more or less the same tonality: " les croissants au beurre sont devenus des croissants ordinaires...économie d’ingrédients..mais le prix lui n’a pas baissé !!! Plus aucun intérêt à se déplacer..."More

Croissant is a Croissant right ? My Paris business colleges told me to go here to get a Croissant for breakfast, OK I said, the shape is a little different to normal, but wow oh wow, I didn't know a Croissant could taste so good,...I went every morning for breakfast, you must go and try it.More

A quintessential bakery selling the most flakiest croissants & pan au choco at an extremely reasonable price. Their coffee was definitely on point as well! Will be back for their sandwiches & tarts the next time I am in Paris!

Whenever I visit Paris, this is one of my must go to places. It's all about the Madeleine's for me! They are the best I've ever tasted. I usually order up a bunch and bring back to my home country.

Returned to this favorite stop for croissants after too long due to the pandemic, so happy that nothing has changed one of the best croissants and pain au chocolat in Paris. So light butter and just the fight crunch. Nice seating out front and a...nice park across the street. Don’t miss and will be back the next time in town.More

When I was last in Paris, I went to all the best bakeries and rated this one as very high for its croissants. I remember it being beautifully balanced and buttery and just utter perfection. I came here early in the morning a few days...ago and ordered a croissant and coffee and then sat outside to enjoy them. I noticed immediately that the croissant just looked different to before and the taste was really quite bad. It was dry, lacked flavour or butter and had no flakiness to it whatsoever. I was hugely disappointed. It could have been a bad batch but it’s a shame that it happened the morning that I went. I tend to think it was not a bad batch either sadly.. Incidentally, I tried a croissant around the corner at a place called ‘au 104 boulangerie’ and it was exceptionally better - I didn’t even really eat the croissant at ble sucre sadly.More

Get up early and head to this neighborhood spot for the best squeezed orange juice in Paris. Get some chocolate croissants too. You'll enjoy the perfect French breakfast.

My second time here but it’s been 4 years. The croissants were as good as I remember them. Wonderful.Buttery but not greasy, flakey but not fall apart and soooo soft in the crumb. The BEST.

I had high hopes for Ble Sucre, based on what I’d read online. However, my visit was the most disappointing during my trip to Paris. Firstly, they didn’t have any croissants left. Instead we went with some kind of chocolate pastry and an apple pie....The chocolate pastry was dry and like it has been baked two days ago. The apple pie was far too sugary and the worst desert we had in Paris. The coffee was also terrible...made from a machine and completely lacking flavour. Also, hygiene was hugely lacking...especially during these Covid times. None of the staff were wiping down tables outside after customers left. So other customers would arrive and sit at dirty tables. Inside, there was a tiny sink, stacked up with dishes, where the girl working on the cash register was washing cups (in between taking orders). When I ordered a coffee, it was served in a cup she spent about 5 seconds washing. I honestly don’t get the hype with this place. Coffee and pastries were on par with what you’d get in a petrol station. There are so many better places in Paris, I wouldn’t waste my time.More

What a breakfast! Very good and light croissants, kind staff, very relaxing atmosphere especially if you have breakfast outside and it's sunny. Price: 22,22 euros (we took the things in the photos).
