A memorable night, we were celebrating a wedding in a city none of us knew so much and i picked this place by sense and according to positive feedback: a blind choice that was totally worth! Place lived by locals, lively atmosphere and nice design. Above all excellent food, big and tasty portion also good quality wine selection. The area... More

Every time I come here I automatically order the duck confit. It's the best I've had anywhere. Fork tender, crispy outside, delicious flavor, and it comes with a mountain of duck fat fried garlicky potatoes. Total heaven. I'm not a big eater, but I clean my plate every time. The service is also super friendly. Lots of locals. It's cute... More

Great value and great service and welcome at this typically French bistro. First experience was 18 months ago and we ate here again last night. Great entree of escargots, great pintade fir main and wines by the glass that matched. Well done!

Much enjoyed. Huge portions! Delicious snails and foie gras. The steak was lovely if a little difficult to chew (cut of beef was very fatty). Fantastic service to top this, and the wine and prosecco was wonderful.

This is a local bistro at Rue Mouffetard. There are couple of classic dishes at lunch. Confit Canard is a must here. And good Bordeaux Red Wine.

The restaurant is in a very nice little square. Eating outside during the summer is great! The meat (tartare) is good and the creme bruleè is awesome!

Simply wonderful! Our first ever taste of Paris. Forgot all about our jet lag and stayed late just to savor food, wine, and atmosphere.

Situated at the end of rue mouffetard. Great mix of tourists but mostly Parisians. Tartare with champagne is delicious in this great French atmosphere.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
