Always authentic and charming!

we have dined here multiple times and never been disappointed. The food is always what you expect and want in Paris from a lovely bistro! Especially good are their lamb chops and renowned Cassuolet! The staff is older but always warm and friendly [most of the times!] we will return.

We had reservations for this place. They didn't have them written down however when we arrived. It didn't matter though because it was empty at 7:30 on a Friday night (not a good sign). There was this chemical burning smell in the restaurant that was overpowering. We decided to leave after sitting at a table for ten minutes without any... More

This restaurant has always had an excellent reputation for serving traditional french cuisine, based on ingredients from selected farms and other suppliers which ar named and defined. I first came here as a little boy in the late 1960-is, and there have been many, many visits since. Always a joy to sample the very traditional french country type cuisine, with... More

This place was recommended to us by our hotel (Grand Hotel du Palais Royal) concierge as an every day "real people" French cuisine. Comparing with the really cozy, friendly and prompt service cafes, which are everywhere in the streets of Paris, this one left only one impression: unreasonably expensive. Summary: mediocre food, inattentive service, not cozy interior. Wasted evening in... More

This was my 2nd dinner during my stay in Paris and overall, it was a great experience. Both the Escargot and the Veal Stew I had were delicious. Service overall was less personal and more of a "hands off" approach compared to Le Florimond the previous night but was still very courteous and professional. Pricing is definitely more on the... This place was close to our hotel and while expecting to pay a little more for a fancy dinner this place did not live up to the cost. The food was very expensive. my husband had the lamb and it was very tasty while I had the steak and it was over cooked, fatty and bland tasting. Since we did... More

My husband and I had dinner here on our last evening in Paris. What a great send off. Loved the food, traditional French fare. Service was great as well. Not a cheap place but if you've got the budget a meal here is well worth the expense.
