The greeting was warm, the dining room a picture postcard of a classis bistrot. If only the kitchen had done its part! I had a wonderful starter--celeri remoulade topped with shredded crab meat. The remoulade was bitingly refreshing with a horseradish tang. My wife's assorted vegetables, served from a trolley with a dozen dishes to choose from, was good, but... More

Would go again (visited January 2017). Classic bistrot - two rooms, checked tablecloth, small rustic menu. The wine list is excellent, including a rotating cast of premier and grand crus by the pichet (25/50cl carafe). It seems a local lunch spot but tourist dinner destination, so expect to hear english. It's not terribly cheap, but decent food in Paris isn't... More

A block from Invalides, this two room classic bistro below the Hotel de France provides a relaxed, generally quiet atmosphere serving mid priced, quality and tasty fare. The salad vert and cassoulet were very good and the confit de canard (with garlic potatoes) was excellent. Wine options are superb. We finished the meal with glace praline for dessert. Service was... I enjoyed our meal at D'Chez Eux. Picked it over www.thefork.com (www.lafourchette.com), the french version of Open Table. Also written up in my Fodor's book. It was close by where we were staying, thought it would be good for our first night there when we were tired. The food was very good, but definitely on the higher end for typical... More

It was raining. On arrival I handed over my wooden-handled umbrella, a gift from my late father, for the cloakroom. When it was time to leave I found my umbrella had been given to another customer who had left earlier. Not a word of apology, not a sign of shame. Maitre d' claimed he knew the customer - which surely... More

Fabulous restaurant. Hasn't changed in 100 years. The menu is typical French, beautifull winelist (only french wines). The waiters have been bourn there and will die there. Cosy smaal tables, astonishing red and white blocked table clothes, amazing floor. If you want to have a realy french experience: go there. They do not speak english, but do everything to help... Overly expensively priced with poor choice. Supposed to be Italian food but not much sign of Italian food on the menu. You need a large budget to eat and drink here.
