The food at Old Kashmir is great as are the staff. The menu is extensive and well priced. I know this is France but if you are in the Latin Quarter and are hungry government or a try you won't be disappointed.

Decent Indian food for about 16-20 euro's which is the regular price in that area. Good Tasted good but portions were not that big. Personality don t really like the atmosphere with the flavoured candles and Indian tv shows playing while you are saying.

This restaurant looks lovely on the inside and the staff were pretty pleasant and helpful. Sadly these qualities did not extend to the food. Starters of onion bhaji and potato Pakora turned out to be poor versions of onion rings and potato fritters! The main course of chicken balti was actually quite nice as was the nan bread. Overall the... More

First we got seated at head of stairs to cellar. I had to get up twice during my meal so people could descend. So I complained and we got moved. Onion bhaji was just six or so fried onion rings with salad. My chicken curry, wasn't, as in it didn't taste of curry. My wife's chicken tikka masala, wasn't, as... More

Visited this restaurant with my husband, we both had lamb curries, paratha and rice. Can't complain about any of it. Food was all great, lamb was ace; very soft and tasty. Spiced well, although the waiter intimated that it might be too spicy, we eat a lot of spicy food, this was not too spicy, just nice. Service great, room... More

We had an assortment of fine indian dishes that were distinct and very flavourfull. The spice was not too hot but brightened the taste buds in a nice way. The paneer, lamb and chicken dishes were keepers. Staff were helpful and attentive. Good value for cost. Portions were perfect for 2 to share.

Good Indian food, with very friendly wait staff. Seems to always have a crowd, which is a good indicator of the quality. Thalis are excellent. At lunch time you are offered a small glass of wine or kir to start (not sure which because I don't drink but it is a charming custom).

I love this cosy street with plenty of small restaurants and some pubs. Me and my father tried some lamb and fish. Nothing special but friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
