This has quickly become a favorite destination. The Île Saint-Louis neighborhood always seems to be off many visitors' radar but it is a charming and quiet destination. We have enjoyed this restaurant thoroughly on two occasions. Expertly prepared food and caring service--the bartender even used the word "soccer" to us to explain why there was a big screen television behind... More

The place is just near our apartment, we went here for breakfast, and enjoy the morning time with tea and bread, the traditional french things. We chatted a lot , forgetting the time here. I like the moment here, but still I prefer the chinese breakfast.

We stayed across the road and tried many restaurants around Paris, but nothing came close. We had breakfast twice and dinner 3 times and each time it was excellent. The omelettes are awesome for breakfast and I had the steak mince with egg for dinner one night, chartuterie and cheese platter between us the next and the best confit duck... More

Went because of the recommendation for its Eggs Benedict and was not disappointed! Delicious hot cafe creme and the salad that came with my meal was unbelievably fresh--as if it was just picked!! Out of the way from the flocking crowds on rue St Germain which was nice; so it's not a tourist magnet but they speak English and I... More

We ventured here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. It was everything I would expect for a typical Parisian cafe and the atmosphere and staff were lovely

Upon late arrival at our VRBO accommodation on Ile St Louis, our landlord recommended Cafe Saint Regis, a short walk away, as a place that served late into the evening with great food. We ventured out after 11:00 pm, hungry and thirsty following a very long travel day. After passing a number of establishments on our way that were either... More

After a visit to Notre Dame, we walked to the back of the cathedral across the bridge into Ile de Cite for breakfast. We had a tasty breakfast -croissant, toast, jams, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and a soft boiled egg cooked to perfection-all for about 14 EU. This place has the look of old Paris. I would definitely make... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
