We were able to squeeze into this restaurant as soon as they opened. I would def recommend making reservations. Service was great and the 3 course meal was so good. I really loved this place!

We had a stunningly wonderful dinner at La Cuisine de Phillipe. Our only traditional French cuisine dinner while in Paris, it did not disappoint. The Coq au Vin and Hanger Steak were sublime, as was the potato gallette. Recommend the Grand Marnier souffle for dessert. Loved it and Phillipe coming out from the kitchen to greet us topped it off.

situated in the St. Germain area (near to St Sulpice), this small and very Original parisien restaurant serves in a jovial setting the perfect soufflés. We had the crab soufflé and the poached eggs as starters. Followed by perfectly cooked prime flank steak with delicious gratin dauphinois. Dessert was a perfect pistache soufflé! Small but correct winelist.

Chef does amazing souffles. Husband compared his lobster souffle as being up there with his all-time favourite cheese souffle from a 2-star Michelin. Mains let the souffles down a little. As a first-time tourist (this is not my first visit to Paris), you might not necessarily come here if you only had a few days in town unless it is... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend who used to live in Paris. He said I would need to make reservations for sure, and still, was told to go early as there are very limited seats in this tiny quaint place. I did not make reservations but luck was on my side. We were seated immediately by a very... More

Was lucky enough to be able to get a table without a reservation. Had a cheese soufflé to start with that was light, airy and smooth. Although the the steak portion was large and I was almost full when it came to dessert, I couldn't stop eating the dessert soufflé! Everything I ordered was very tasty and the chef even... More

I live around the corner and I've struggled getting a table for the past year...it was worth the wait... The stars of the show...the Soufflés were amazing, but the other courses available were also excellent. The wine choices by the bottle were good and the service was first class...Thanks for making our night special

Both my husband and I love this place. It's about to become our go to diner spot. The food was absolutely mouth watering we have to go back again kinda food. We cleared our plates for all 3 courses. We both had the Duck & lobster bisque soufflé. The creme brûlée was my hubby's favorite and I enjoyed the dark... More

Description
It opened in January this year at the location of the former Kiwi Corner restaurant. It has been rated on thefork.com website at 8.2/10. We've eaten there and found the restaurant to feature classic French cooking, extremely well prepared in a small congenial restaurant across from the Luxembourg Gardens. We sampled the dishes and found all of them very good to excellent. Nice choice of reasonably priced wines too. I particularly liked the Grand Marnier Souffle. The best part is the very reasonable prices which are shown on the thefork.com website.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
