Paris style brasserie. Nothing not to like good atmosphere, good food, nice staff. Maybe one drawback is that nothing was special to remember either

On a rainy day, walked into this restaurant. Server was nice. I asked for Champagne it was served by bar tender and it was flat. I asked if I may have a new flute, the server was very nice and got me a glass from...a newly opened bottle. I ordered Boef Bourguignon. Maybe 2 - 3 pieces of not so good quality of beef, and the filler was all pasta, which I don't eat. The sauce was missing flavor and was runny. When I was asked how was it, I was honest as I cook this at home and I mentioned, traditionally it is server with potato's, to which he was ok we do it this way. Sorry, never again.More

On thé Coin…literally on the corner near the Bastille and Gare de Lyon. We’ve had many lunches and dinner plus a breakfast here over the years on our visits to Paris. Great service from super friendly staff. Classic bistrot cuisine…freshest ingredients and very well executed....The charcuterie board is excellent. Nice wine selection.More

We arrived in Paris for and overnight stay as had early morning train to Spain and this restaurant was just opposite our hotel. We were a little early for evenung service but welcomed and shown a table immediately. We sat inside as outside tables all...full of smokers. I had duck breast served with a cream and smoked paprika sauce. The sauce was in a smalk jug rather than smothering the meat.. frites and salad. The quality and the preparation and flavour of the whole meal was out of this world. It was beyond doubt the best duck I have ever eaten, and it was huge. Frires also wonderful, very hot crispy and again served separately. The wine was a wonderful Chablis.. My husband had a huge steak rib of steak that he also hugely enjoyed. With a large glass of beer. Many many thanks to the cute little blonde waitress who went out of her way to explain and talk us non speaking french brits through the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody. Will definitely be back given an opportunity. What a great surprise and a fab start to our holiday Lucy HMore

Bistrot du coin was very near the hotel we were staying at for one night in Paris prior to flight home so after traveling a long day by train we were just too tired to expend the energy looking for a restaurant and decided on...this one. We were pleasantly surprised. It definitely has a bar atmosphere but service was very good and the food was surprisingly good! The wine list was good so we ordered French Pinot Noir that was freshly opened - sometimes that can be a challenge when you’re served wine that has been opened too long! We split a hamburger and fries and really could’ve ordered it again it was so good! Beef tasted freshly ground and we ordered rare and it came perfectly cooked. Fries were outstanding!More

While the drinks were a fair price and happy hour entertaining, the food was mediocre at best. My steak was very rubbery despite me requesting medium rare and my girlfriend's vegan bowl dish was a mixture of all sorts of clashing flavours. Half the bowl...was salty and the other too sweet and the rice itself was as sticky as you'd find sushi rice. Regardless, the atmosphere was still nice but the food fairly lacking.More

Bistro Du Coin was the best vegetarian meal I had in Paris. Our server was delightfully friendly and funny and the beer and wine were good. My friend ordered the chef's recommendation, roast beef with Béarnaise sauce, and it was rather over cooked, but the...duck was perfectly cooked and the salad with beet hummus and basil pesto was truly excellent. I would definitely eat here again.More

With a wide range of excellent menu items prepared well and carefully this is a surprising bistro. One should go here for lunch as the atmosphere is good, the wait staff excellent and the food exceptionally well prepared.

I used to know the area and came to this bistrot a lot myself, always like therelaxing atmosphere and food normally was good. But yesterday with my tourists friends, it's big disappointment. I recommandé entrecôte highly as I had it before was good. But yesterday...the one came was over cooked while we asked for medium (a point) for sure, and waiter explained because this entrecôte was very thin so it's overcook. Is that a reason? It is most expensive meat on the menu and you provided a thin one and claimed it was thin so over cooked ? None of my friends speak French so seems I am the only one argue this and I was not feeling well so in the end I didn't say anything. But for €23 entrecôte, restaurant served à thin overcooked meat, it surprises my memory of this bistrot. Big shame when I took my tourists friends.More

Had several lunches and dinners over the course of a week staying in the area. It was so good for atmosphere, quality and friendly service that we just kept coming back. At lunch time the sun was just right for eating outside and taking in...the Spring sun. Many good memories made. Will definitely come back.More
