Never go near this place! The owner lured us in with a happy hour price and purposefully made 2 wrong drinks he brought to us. When corrected that is not what we asked for, he was so rude in demanding payment for his mistakes! Was aggressive and angry yelling outside at us. We would have called the police but were... More

Nice little place on Place St Michel, near the Latin quarter. Prompt service without the usual pushiness of some Bistro/bars near popular tourist attractions. The food was excellent and French as it was beautifully cooked yet simple. What more could ask for, for a light lunch & cold beer.

She brushed us off when we explained. I ordered apple martini and got some nasty... More

Yes the location is super "fantastique" but the cafe is pretty much a forgettable one until that night in May... After deciding with my son to hit the Rive Gauche for a cafe little after midnight, we sat outside on the... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
