We stopped here for lunch. We felt like fish and chips and pub food. But Magner's cider was the closest we could get. We had carpaccio mozzarella and a cheeseburger. Team efficient at lunch.

Found this place by chance when strolling around after work and popped in a couple of times. It's nice to have a pint of Murphy's instead of Guinness and the atmosphere here is nice and you can do some people watching on the Parisian boulevards outside.

All I can say is that we had the best service in Paris here at Murphy's House! All the other restaurants have nice staff but this place so far has been the best. The food was also great and they have a great selection of drinks. Definitely recommend!!

Arrived well in time to watch the advertised World Cup rugby game. Sat at chosen table outside the bar by television and ordered two beers. This cost us over €17 ! We were then asked to vacate our seats as they had been "reserved". There were no signs and the manager was very abrupt and downright rude. We won't be... More

Dear Karen I would like to apologise for your time spent in our bar ! Our staff were changing services and probably a bit tense with the big matches coming up in the evening ! and the team were informing each other of the reservations, probably when you arrived ! Very surprised that our staff were rude, as our staff... More

A group of six entered at 5:40pm and could sit only at three small round tables - not ideal! Menus were presented and we asked to order drinks whilst we perused the menu, which was somewhat limited, especially with one vegetarian amongst us. The drinks, for which we were quite desperate, failed to arrive and we pointed out that we... More

I went with my father. Very nice place, great music, service was okay. We've had some beers and nachos. Both were good. The Murphey's Irish red beer is highly recommended.

I had a super 'Wexford' salad with prawns, my husband had fish n'chips - not at all French, but wholesome and tasty. Free Wi-Fi for one hour but it doesn't work on the terrace. Sky sports (the Golf was on) good loos. Hit the spot.

Great place to relax in a simple environment, especially on weekends when you can watch the crowd and enjoy meeting people.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
