Oh yeah, these people do know quite something about breads. Choice is not huge but enought. Breads are so aromatic and tasty! We came in for a breakfast and it was marvelous. Yellow and a bit salty butter, boiled eggs, crusty bacon, jam, flat white...More

Nothing like buying a loaf of poilane's bread for that New Year's Eve dinner. What about those flaky croissants? Divine

We were staying about a 20-minute walk from Poilane, but I made the trip twice early in the morning to pick up bread, pastries, and gingerbread. This is a higher-end bakery, so don't expect budget pricing. The products are beautiful and worth every cent.

This is some of the best bread I've ever had. I stopped by for croissants since it was far from my apartment. Then I got some bread. Then I had to bring some home for my friends. Definetly worth a stop.

No queue on the first sunny Sunday of the year: an incredible opportunity or a worrying sign? In fact it was the second option. Poilane make a delicious bread yet their tartines are more than disappointing, using bad quality ingredients and showing no creativity. This...More

We stopped here on a tour. Did not know that this is one of the most famous bakeries in all of France. Everything was wonderful. Had an apple tart, cookies and bought bread. They are all over Paris. Stop in and enjoy

We stopped for a treat at Boulangerie Poilane in the Marais. The bread may be the best in Paris and there is a small cafe next to the bakery. Worth a stop.

A whole loaf, half or quarter! The best . Poilane also sells the best cookies and other pastries such as the apple tarts.

After trying croissants at several boulangeries we stumbled upon Poilane's. They were flaky, buttery, delicious, exquisite. Perhaps becoming "dewy-eyed" over croissants seems odd, but try them and you, too, will wax eloquent about Poilane's!

On Sundays this area of Marais bustles with local residents going about with their grocery shopping with lines forming at popular stores. They are going for baked goods, meat, cheese and vegetables. However, this supposedly hallowed bakery with an attached cafe remains ostensibly empty, with...More
