From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by someone who is proud of his restaurant. The classic French dishes (frogs' legs) were prepared to perfection. The wine list is very limited but so carefully curated that it was a pleasure to explore. Trying wines that are rarely found on restaurant wine lists is always a treat. This was... More

A beautiful restaurant, very romantic and the service was impeccable. We had the boeuf mariné façon to start which was very tasty and the chateaubriand for main which was the best steak we've ever had. We can't recommend enough.

We visited twice as it was very conveniently located next to our hotel. The menu is on the essential side, with a choice of a handful options both for first course and main course and the variety allows you to find something to your taste. Everything we tasted was very good, beautifully executed with fresh produce and quite some know... More

This is a small restaurant run by a young man. I don't know if he's the chef but whoever was the chef it was all delicious. I had ravioli with shrimp in a curry sauce as an appetizer. The fois gras appetizer was also great. The dinners were also wonderful. I had the sea bass with parsnips and my husband... More

One of the best meals we had in France. Recommended by TripAdvisor. The shrimp soup was one of the best soups ever. Spicy! We each had chateaubriand and the meat was perfect. Great shared dessert - chocolate tort! The wine was super. Le Chemise is not inexpensive, but excellent! Our server, Cassandra, was incredible and a big help. She spoke... More

We visited this restaurant based on other reviews and we were very happy we did so. We have been in Paris many times, and the Bastille area is not one we usually think of for dinner. However, the food was amazing, the greeting was warm and friendly, the server read the menu to us in English and was able to... More

Went here at the recommendation of my hotel. Was fantastic. Service was incredibly friendly. Food was delicious - I had 3 courses - fois gras, cod and cheesecake. They also put up with me trying out my useless tourist French on them. It annoys me when English speaking people go into French restaurants and expect an English language menu and... More

We managed to get a table for 2 at the restaurant without booking in advance - so lucky! We wanted to make the most of the food as it was so divine - so we both had 3 courses. The duck and the steak are one of if not the best we have had. I would also recommend the cheesecake..yum!... More

Really pleasant restaurant, great service. Food was excellent, definately worth a visit, had a great table by the window, which was needed as it was one of the hottest days of the year. Champagne was very nice

We are staying nearby and went to this restaurant on a whim. We were not disappointed! The food and service were excellent, and cost was very reasonable. We liked it so much we plan to visit again.
