Loved this small brasserie! The owner is having fun and the staff transpires "joie de vivre". Everything we ate was perfect! Simple food all home made. The café gourmand is just to die for: lemon tart, brulée and moist chocolate cake...yummy. Going back soon.. For sure. Ps if you do not like music then go somewhere else. Ps did i... More

Nice cafe in the lovely Le Marais neighborhood to just grab a drink and people-watch! Located right next to the St Paul station, L'Elephant is perfect to sit down for a nice cup of coffee before you have to ride the metro to somewhere, which was what I did! Each cup is less than €5 so nothing too expensive. Definitely... More

If you are looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and life at 'The Marais', this is the one. Delicious 'tartare de bœuf' and fresh dishes, as well as a good assortment of drinks. Very friendly service. The bar also organizes amusing concerts that you can enjoy while eating or just having a drink. Your meeting point at 'Le... More

We ordered beef tartar, Supreme Chicken, Pasta with Pesto, Pasta with Tomato and Basil sauce, Duck Confit and White Fish. All the dishes were good except White Fish. It was very dry without any sauce and it was all mushed and shredded like shredded chicken. Totally bland. For dessert we ordered Crème Brulee and it was good. Prices were very... More

We visited this little bistro on their Saloon night so the place was decked out in a Western theme. Being a group of 6 we had to wait a little to get a table so definitely book ahead if you can as the place was packed with locals. The wait staff were amazing - it was my second visit to... More

Saw this restaurant on the main road and it looked inviting- with outside seating. Good measures and very friendly staff- although we did not eat, the food we saw passing us looked very delicious.

We fell into this place by chance. Near a great bakery with the line out the door. We could tell it was frequented by lots of locals but we were made to feel a part of the culture and included. The waiter was everything, greeter, took our order, sang songs, and gave hugs and kisses to his customers!

I was very lucky to see this bistro in the rue de rivoli. Me and my family were looking for french food not very expensive; i suggest you to go there because: - they cook very good omelette, normal and chavignolet ones, - they have a large sum of french cheese as entry - the kitchen is very clean -... Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
