La Poule au Pot is a corner restaurant located in a quiet backwater near Les Invalides. It has a typical bistro decor with zinc bar, red leather banquettes, tiles, panelling, iron peg, chandelier. It offers country cooking with a not too extensive menu. Our dishes were simple not copious but tasty : octopus ceviche, bone marrow, black pudding, bangers and... More

One of the best meals of our stay in Paris. A must do if in the area. Braised leg of Lamb, Duck with Potatoes, and quite possibly the best Creme Brûlée I've ever had!

We both had the Rump Steak as they had finished the Scallops. Can't complain. My steak (medium) was succulent and tender, the chips fat and crunchy accompanied with a cheese sauce. All very nice but I would have preferred the cheese sauce to be a bit thicker. Lovely Creme brûlée for pudding. A satisfied diner.

By the impressive Esplanade des Invalides and opposite Pont Alexandre III, this is a fairly small and cosy restaurant. Good selection of food, wine and beer at a reasonable price. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, taking pride in their restaurant and the food they serve. Highly recommended. Take a chance and just turn up or to be... More

The area between the Eiffel Tower and Invalides is great to explore with the markets on Rue Cler and all the shops and restaurants on Rue Sainte-Dominique. Yet walk one road north of Rue Sainte-Dominique and you are in a quiet backwater that contains this gem. It is a delightful traditional looking bistro. Dark wood chairs. Red leather. Lots of... Local restaurant. Staff stills gave time to explain dishes. Best food in paris! The lamb and the Pastilla De Julienne were perfect. Desserts good. Starters were great too. Wine by carafe or glass or bottle. Wonderful experience. Near to Eiffel tower.

Recommended french food, at a good price, well-portioned. Friendly staff, and an overall authentic "non-touristy" experience. Recommended for family dinners!

This turned out to be one of best experiences in Paris during my 6 months stay. Phenomenal risotto with scallops and chorizo chips in salmon sauce. Wine selection is very broad so you will not be disappointed if you would like to match meal with wine. For dessert there's a cake of 80% pure chocolate:) try that;)

Le Poule aunPot, thank goodness my grandmother was a better cook the keynote Poule au Pot was unseasoned ,and watery. A waste of time, we were 7 good friends. The long table did not aid conversation. The food was mediocre, the space not well heated on a cold night. They had to give me my dinner twice as they did... More

I was there with a friend for lunch, and I ordered the whole 3-set menu (entree, main dish and dessert). The food was quite well made, delicious-looking, and tasty. I had a dish of potato puree and half boiled eggs. It had too much salt, but the bread helped with that. The eggs matched quite well to the taste of... More
