For a traditional style menu with no attempts to make food modern or all Micheliny this place easily deserves the star it has because the flavors is the story. Every dish here at this restaurant has flavor.
I know there is nothing simple about simply prepared food because there is no place to hide. This place is all about execution from the Dim Sum to the Fired Rice to the Vegtables….The shrimp, beef and noodles dishes all excellent lo.
It’s so good, its better than anything I ate in Hong Kong and Macau and better than anything I ate in San Francisco. Maybe just maybe the dim sum place Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong can beat this dim sum but that’s splitting hairs.
The service here is prompt and outstanding!!! I simply love restaurants that get a star for making good food that isn’t fancified. This place makes great food!!!!!!

Excellent and attentive staff from the moment you enter the Hotel foyer and head to the restaurant. We had lunch from the 6 course tasting menu and every one of the course were excellent. Superb ingredients, very well prepared and presented, each sauce complimented perfectly the pork, prawns and duck .
It was a pleasure and a treat to eat there and would definitely be on the list of places to eat for special occasions.

Aside one amazing dish, the oysters with caviar, my overall culinary experience was underwhelming. I was expecting bursting flavors and unusual creativity. I got very good Chinese food but nothing out of the ordinary nor very moving. The service is impeccable even though I noticed that all servers are males while people bringing the food we trays are all females, that’s a bit sexist. In conclusion, the food is good but do t expect anything amazing aside the check.

Cantonese cuisine isn’t my favorite, not even in my top five, but my wife loves it, so I took her here for her birthday.
Let’s start with the positives. The hotel is stunning and the restaurant is as well. They’re also very flexible with reservations, so that cuts down on stress.
The best parts of my meal were the complimentary appetizer of fried eggplant and candied walnuts, and the dessert, a sort of pudding made from mango and another fruit I don’t recall the name of.
Now to the downsides. I got their new fashioned cocktail, the spinach soup, and a tofu dish. The first was fine, if unremarkable, the second was bland, and the third was okay.
But it wasn’t just the flavor, the portions were also very small. And look, I get it, in any kind of haut dining, one can expect the portions to be small, but at this price?
Which leads me to the cost. Through the roof. I believe my cocktail alone was about 20€, and hey, had it been the greatest old-fashioned-like drink I’d ever had, the price may have been warranted, but it wasn’t.
Everything on the menu is at least as much, but most dishes float around the 50€ area, with some individual dishes reaching nearly 100€. For the flavor and the portions, that’s astronomical.
But the final straw was the slow service. While getting our free appetizers and ordered ones didn’t take that long, to be even asked if we were having dessert took at least ten minutes (I’m being very generous), but to actually be served our dessert once ordered? No less than half an hour. I don’t know how long it actually takes to mash up some mango and scoop out some ice cream, but it can’t possibly require that much precise skill. We were waiting so long that I was tempted to ask if they’d forgotten we’d ordered.
The final insult was, after we’d paid and I’d gotten our coats, while I waited for my wife, the waiter made it very clear to me that he wanted me to leave into the hotel lobby. So let me get this straight. I hand you guys hundreds of euros for a tasteless, microscopic meal and the worst wait times I can remember and I can’t wait for my wife inside the restaurant out of everyone’s way?
If you’re a die-hard fan of Cantonese cuisine… go anywhere else.

Arriving Sunday evening at 20h, we order for 2 people a tasting menu and an apero, which is served 20 min later with 2 laughable snacks: a miniscule piece of salmon with sweetsweet sauce and the other snack a peeled cherry tomato (no kidding). Anyway, maybe the standards for Michelin are different in Paris than in Belgium.
45 minutes (!) after receiving the apero and giving 2 comments, 2 appetizers are finally served. The most ridiculous excuse is given that they wanted to wait until our glasses were empty. This was apparently at the table next to us no problem.
These 2 starters consisted of shashimi of salmon and nems with seafood (scallops). Nothing special and the nems just tasted like fat. So 45 minutes for these starters. Possibly the fish still had to be caught in the Seine
The following dishes were ok, but also no more than that. It is also a shame to throw a noble product like blue lobster in fat. The Wagyu was tasty but you could blow away the 3 cubes of meat per person.
Dessert was a deep fried rice dumpling (so again a frying food) with one with a tasteless mango cream that had a terrible texture (presumably with tapioca or something).
The location may be in Palace hotel, but you are in a dark chilly basement without even a window and zero atmosphere and cosiness. The staff was also very cold and distant. Probably also because I couldn't hide my annoyance.
Only positive note: the wine was sublime, for which I give a point.

I have been coming once a year for years during my stays in Paris. I was disappointed with the meal with the lunch menu that I usually have. Everything went well with the starters, the dim sum. The signature burger was delicious. But then the barbecue duo was disappointing: the pork was tough and very fatty, I didn't finish it. The dessert was tasteless, the fruits which made it too cold to have any taste.
We also know that the shortage of labor must make us tolerant of small blunders in service, no problem. But do we have to have dessert on a dirty table? And the addition contains errors? That we forget to serve ourselves bottled water placed on a serving table?
The only good news is the stable price of the menu in the face of widespread inflation, but I would have preferred to pay a little more and leave as satisfied as previous times. The prices of drinks remain at an elite level compared to the restaurant's simple star rating.

If I give this rating bad, it is because I am not very satisfied with the service of this restaurant. In fact, we had the misfortune of ordering an aperitif that we waited for almost 3/4 hours!! What's more, it's not the one he offered us (he offered us a non-alcoholic aperitif based on red fruits and we received a sort of peppered Mojito!) unacceptable, especially for a Michelin-starred restaurant! We had an a la carte lunch and it was a big mistake! I had to eat twice with the same cutlery! Which doesn't look like a Michelin-starred restaurant!
The server alone is very good, I find that for this type of establishment, a second server is needed because he alone cannot provide the service properly! We ordered the Peking duck in two courses, the rice (a specialty of the restaurant arrived well before the second course of the duck and certainly waited more than 15 minutes before this second course arrived! Our Cantonese rice was cold! (if at least the rice was nicely served in a large bowl without a lid! Once again I think it's not worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant!
It must be recognized that the quality of the food is very good.
But what a disappointment considering the price paid.

The kitchen is quality, but without originality or talent. A glass of champagne (35 € à la carte , charged 39 €) and served VERY cheaply ( a glass bottom ). The portions of the emerald menu are all right: really small! ( 2 bites per person for wagyu beef) . In the end 620€ for two for a general service far below this rate.

The best Asian in Paris!! Went with my family and we ordered several different dishes, all very well recommended by the waitress. The Peking duck was phenomenal. The lobster and the dim sum are perfect. The restaurant is very quiet and warm, you immediately feel welcome. The wine menu is also a must. The hotel itself is really beautiful and worth the visit, I would recommend and go back

The best thing was the 2 amuse bouche, very tasty en fine made with lots of fresh taste.
From there it was going downwards. Also the presentation lacks the quality of a Michelin restaurant. Wagyu beef thrown on a plate and also the quality didn’t make it. Dessert without any fresh fruity taste.

Unprecedented and uninteresting dishes. Very good to impress people who know absolutely NOTHING about Chinese gastronomy if we can talk about gastronomy. If like me you have a Chinese wife or family of Chinese origin, I do not recommend, go your way, everything is doable at home and to your liking. Annoying assured for some very simplistic dishes but at the exorbitant price inexplicable. The service is incredibly slow: 2 hours to have 3 courses. We left without having received the desserts for a total note of 500€ for two people for I repeat 3 courses in 2 hours more than commonplace that if we had made them at home would have cost us at most 60€ (salmon ashimi / lacquered duck / sautéed beef) that we did not even bother to finish so much disappointment was present. I do not know if dishes can be more simplistic than those offered. A very big culinary disappointment like we rarely had in a betting palace.

We go to this gourmet restaurant to treat ourselves several times a year.
This time, I would like to make a few comments.
The welcome remains courteous and polite.
Regarding the meal: The dishes chosen are always of premium quality, well seasoned and prepared. The quality remains at the top. The products have been well selected. No complaints.

We have come to this restaurant several times and I fully agree with the reviews mentioning a clear decline in welcome and service. We had the impression that people were in a hurry to see us leave... Plates cleared when all the guests had not finished, first courses brought when the aperitif was not finished, addition brought immediately after the last dish was finished without us asking, no one to greet us when we left.. We were very disappointed, especially for our friends who were coming for the first time.
The dishes were delicious except for the dessert on the menu which I found below the rest (the crispy ball really didn't have anything crunchy). I don't think we will come back.

The quality of the cuisine is undeniable: refined, elaborate, balanced preparations: very fine Cantonese cuisine.
