Very friendly staff, great service and a wonderful menu. Even if you are not a fan of Middle Eastern food (though specifically Moroccan) you'll find something you'll like. In the heart of the Latin Quarter and our table afforded a great people-watching experience too.

amongst the dozens of 'tourist restaurants' (which are all pretty good and cheap in the Latin Quarter) is this. Great authentic food and good service. You don't need directions - the lady outside will find you and entice you in!

As another reviewer noted, they beckon you in from the street, offering you a free cocktail (which is actually called a "Kir". Nothing amazing, but good standard couscous. The spicy sausage, Merguez, was perfect. The couscous and savory vegetable stew we're quite good. Busy with locals, as well as street visitor walk-ins. I wouldn't recommend most restaurants in this very... More

When we come to Paris, we come here. Slightly tucked away in the Latin Quarter, it is alongside other types of restaurant, all competing for trade. The person (usually a young lady) at the entrance entices with the obligatory 'free cocktail' (rose wine, with something sweet in it, I think). Food is authentic (witness locals eating here - known to... More

We have eaten here on two separate trips to Paris. It is in an area that reminds me of Bourbon St in New Orleans only the barkers are trying to get you in their shop for food instead of "girls". Love the couscous and the huge bowl of home style vegetables that come with it. We tried the lamb shoulder... More

If you've been to France, you know it is hard to find a bad meal. Some are more outstanding than others, but hard to find a bad one. This is average, so if you are hungry, go in for food, but if you want something special go to a different place.

After a long day of walking around the city, eating at different food joints, walking around parks, we started our journey of dinner search. We came back to Rue de la Huchette after a short wall and stroll around Luxembourg garden and started looking for a place to eat. As usual, we were going through the menu and then we... More

A female employee enticed us inside the restaurant by offering a free appertif drink. The free drink was delivered as promised. Three of us shared 2 dishes which was plenty of food and absolutely delicious. We ordered couscous with vegetables and tagine (a large pot with slowed cooked vegestables). Since 2 of us are vegetarians we found this restaurant very... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
